Great bookshop. I've shopped here a number of times. I've managed to find some beautiful books for gifts, that I haven't seen anywhere else. Originally, I thought they would be expensive, but found they are on a par with most book stores. There's also a lovely range of gifts. I think it's so important to shop local and support small business. Would definitely recommend.

How could you help but love our favourite bookshop in Main Street, Croydon? Mark and Laraine are always warm and welcoming, willing and keen to face whatever book hound challenges you put before them. This store radiates community and offers an experience you cannot find in an impersonal, tired and predictable bookstore in the larger shopping centres.
Not to mention HARRY! Who doesn’t love a shop dog? Even if Harry (being a Westie), can be a little condescending at times, he is usually up for a pat and a back scratch, and you can’t help but feel privileged when he considers you worthy of his precious time.
They have a great selection of books, puzzles and beautiful things to satisfy even the pickiest consumer!

Above and beyond a retail book store, Collins in Croydon encourage, motivate, and support customers, readers of all levels, authors, both professionals, and those just starting out, artists, illustrators, and poets etc to grow and develop in their fields to create beautiful works which we all get the benefit from.

Great bookshop. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were friendly. So much choice and not just books either.

No food here but plenty of books, Whatever book you would be looking for they would have it,for adults for children,from all walks of life,to the books that would put a smile on your face,I will take a photo on my next trip, Sorry😞

If you are looking for something for that special person either adult or child and they like to read this Bookshop is the go to! If they haven't got it in they can order it in for you. They have DVDs, of shows from the ABC, also there are books that a dog owner or new owner would like to have to help them look after them. The employees are happy to help you. Love going for a leisurely stroll around the duck ponds and also to c the difference since they pulled down Pembroke S.C There is so much space to walk or just sit around on the numerous seats plus the playground is an absolute favourite of my step-daughter 'Sienna' which we visit all the time.

A treasure of a store, full to the brim with beautiful gems (books, gifts, cards, games, puzzles...) and the most helpful, knowledgeable staff. It's always a pleasure to visit Collins in Croydon.

Lots of nice books, hard to decide which one to buy

Sadly, I don't get out here as often as I'd like to but when I have a few spare hours it is so worth the train trip (& I can always read on the train!). The people here are knowledgeable, friendly & super helpful, while never being pushy. When I spend a few hundred $$ it's always my own fault, & without any regret. After all, it's my duty to help save book shops from extinction.

We loved it. We came in with no idea what books we were after. The librarian who looked after us had an amazing passion and knowledge and really tried to help us. And she did. We left with a pile of books that my daughters are devouring as we speak. And they beautifully gift-wrap with a smile.

Just phoned Croydon Bookseller and spoke to Mark regarding a book I needed sent out (due to Covid) as my local store didn't have a copy. It is a gift for my father's birthday and needed it ASAP as I have (as usual) left things to the last minute. Mark was SO friendly, accommodating and helpful. Brilliant service. Thank you!

On a couple of occasions, with only a title or author or photo I have been successful in getting the books I wanted. The shop has a comfortable, friendly vibe necessary for book browsing.

Wonderful books that you don't see anywhere else and beautiful cards

Our family loves this book shop. It's well stocked has caters for contemporary and eclectic taste too. The atmosphere is lovely and staff are brilliant. There are really good coffee shops close by the best being directly opposite.
You can take your new book and enjoy the first pages over yummy coffees, teas, delicious food and all day breakie. Couches too.
Collins has been there with the same owner for decades, they really know their stock and will order in any books for you including out of print enquiries and get it for you asap. Letter or phone call to inform book has arrived. There I'd also a great selection of gifts, a little unusual but terrific stuff. I bought a cast iron replica of iconic Melbourne landmark "Skipping Girl" it us probably a door stop but I have it on top of books .... It looks wonderful ! I really love shopping there for most gifts for family and friends. Trust me, the books, staff are excellent.
