Golden Chain Nicholas Royal Motel

Fantastic little motel in the middle of town. Close to pubs and shops. Recently renovated room. Shower was great, bed comfy and on ground level. Parking at the front door. A very comfortable night on our way to Sydney.

Enjoyed me stay here. Right in town. Great host. Rooms were super clean and tidy. Amenities were adequate. Bed was super comfy.
I'll be back.

We found the Nicholas Royal Motel to be spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. It is located centrally on the main street. We will happily stay here again.

Clean and quiet rooms next to excellent pub for dinner. Owner went above and beyond our trailer was parked safely and under cover. Thank you!

Wonderful motel in Hay! Modern, quiet and very clean rooms. Had everything I needed. Great location with the pub 2 doors down (but no pub noise at all) , I had a great meal. 2 shops the other way is the IGA - perfect to grab some brekky. I highly recommend this motel!

I had an overnight stay with my family at the motel and found very nice and clean. Staff was also very kind and respectful. Room was very clean and tidy. Best place to stay here.

What a great spot, a gem of Hay. Anne and Danny are the most delightful hosts and looked after us beautifully for our long weekend journey to Hay.

The rooms are perfect sizes and everything was so clean and pristine. We didnt use the pool but cant wait for next time. Right in the heart of Hay with cafes and pubs within shorts walks if you're going to Hay then this is the place to stay.

Quiet,clean & spacious rooms plus a good shower & comfortable bed.
Very short walk to a number of eating options.
Couldn't ask for much more out of an overnight stay in Hay.

Managed to snap up the last room, wow the room is newly refurbished stayed in the King room 17 right next to the stunning pool.
Great little touch to the room snacks in room for those late arrivals or midnight munchies.
Pub right next door for tea so not too far to go.
We are in the hospitality industry & would highly recommend staying here if your thinking of staying in Hay.

Stayed last night. Very clean and nice and new rooms. Comfy bed. Nice hosts! Highly recommend. The owners recommended the Riverina Pub next door and we had a fantastic dinner! Hay is worth the stop, and definitely would stay here again!

Stayed here last week. Will definitely return. Best accomodation ever! Very conveniently located as it is in the centre of the town. Pub is next door and a great place for coffee and breakfast is just across the road. Owners were very friendly and welcoming and had a great chat with them. Modern facilities and parking is so convenient as well. Cannot fault this place. Simply awesome! Highly recommend.

Room was spacious. Good fridge, microwave and other kitchenette stuff. Bed was super comfy. Shower awesome. Check in lady was fine.

I would easily say that this is the best hotel in Hay! The rooms were very modern, extremely clean, cleaned daily, and the entire place was well maintained. The staff here were amazing, more than happy to have a chat and help out as much as they could, and I think that stems from the amazing owners, who I felt like they went over and above to help me feel at home while I was staying here for 2 months. Nothing was ever a hassle for them, even when I locked myself outnof my room at 9.3pm one night, they were still very pleasant and helpful in me getting back into my room.
Absolutely would recommend that anyone looking for somewhere to stay in this area, to book in at the Nicholas Royal, you will not regret it!

A wonderful stay, staff was very helpful, they helped us out with some milk for our youngest. They insured we had enough beds and helped make a relaxing night at the end of a long days travel.

The place was clean, comfortable and well priced. Would definitely stay there again if we do the track back to nsw

Very clean updated room. Plenty of parking. Car wash area and bucket of water and windscreen washer outside each room to get rid of the bugs on the windsceen. Plenty of water pressure in the shower. Microwave and toaster in the room with cutlery and plates. Kettle fitted easily under the handbasin tap. Table and chairs. Got breakfast at the bakery across the street. Yummo. Centre of town with great hosts who were very knowledgable of the area and most welcoming.
