Ruby's Mount Kembla Restaurant

Our experience at Ruby's Mount Kembla Restaurant for our wedding was fantastic. The venue itself provided a beautiful backdrop, and we received numerous compliments from our guests on how good the food was and how beautiful the place was. Scott and Racheal were easy to work with, making the planning process so straightforward and stress-free. The practicality of their approach, combined with the great venue and delicious food, made it the perfect wedding venue for us.
We loved our day there and look forward to going back.

Flawless evening! We had a 7-course degustation, and it was SENSATIONAL! Every single course had something unique and just kept on surprising and impressing as the night progressed.

Head Chef/Owner, Scott, came out personally on several occasions to serve and explain the amazing dishes he and Jeremy prepared. The level of complex flavours that complimented each other perfectly in every dish was nothing short of extraordinary. *Special mention for the pan-fried gnocchi with braised rabbit; hands down, the most flavoursome meal I have ever experienced*

We have visited several fine dining restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra, along with many in Europe and Asia. Ruby's Mt. Kembla takes the cake and is the sheer definition of "fine dining". In Wollongong alone, in my humble opinion, its Ruby's and then there is the rest. Nothing compares, plain and simple.

Waitstaff were super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Parking was a breeze. Booking was easy and there was great communication and care to cater for our special dietary requirements. Could not fault our experience at all. Cannot wait to visit again!

The food is absolutely amazing, it has a lovely atmosphere . I have been a few times now. Just take your time and enjoy yourself.

We just dined in tonight and wow was it amazing! Such a quaint, peaceful little restaurant with so much character and amazing food. 7 course degustation with wine pairing was just beautiful and recommend everyone try this hidden gem. We will be back!

Attended a wedding at Ruby’s. It’s a small venue but wow the atmosphere was fantastic. The food was absolutely beautiful and when you add in wedding sized mass serving it was incredible what they served up, so tasty and portioned well. Wait staff were excellent and accomodating. Glass was never empty. Would highly recommend for a function. The only thing to remember is location as far as driving goes if you plan to have a drink. Just plan ahead, easy!!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Ruby's Mount Kembla in August and it was an absolute blast! Scott and the team at Ruby's were incredible and made our lives so much easier on the day, we didn't have to worry about a thing. The food was exquisite, and we are still getting compliments on the cake! The whole day went so well, we wouldn't change a thing. Thank you so much to Scott and the team for a wonderful time. Tucked away in Mount Kembla, this was a really good fine dining experience. The food was well balanced and presented with some wow moments. Enthusiastic and attentive service from a young team.

Had the privilege of DJing Alex and Colbys wedding at Rubys last night. Food is amazing and the staff are so professional. Looking forward to going back.

We had our wedding reception at Ruby's and we were so happy with everything! Scott is great at what he does, the food is scrumptious (we had cocktail style) and his easy going manner made for a very stress-free wedding!
Scott and the staff were so accommodating (we were especially impressed with the alternative dishes for guests with dietary requirements) and the cake was absolutely delicious! Fine dining, professional staff, fantastic food and great Owner/chef with his mum Rachel who was so accommodating throughout the entire evening. Such a great venue to photoshoot a beautiful wedding of Katrina and her husband Aeryn! Both Paul and I will be back to wine and dine soon, such a memorable and fantastic experience

Such a beautiful place with excellent service. The food was really tasty, well presented and you can see and taste the finest details put into it. Considering the fear of covid-19, the owner and staff really take care to provide a very clean and careful service for customers. It was our first time driving over an hour from Sydney and we would definitely love to come back again!

I had the pleasure of having lunch at this amazing establishment. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was enchanting. From the odour the moment we walked in to the impeccable design it all felt welcoming and inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special dining experience.

This was a fabulous dinner experience, Wollongong is fortunate to have a restaurant of such high standard, the chef Scott should stand proud, each dish was full of flavour. The presentation was perfect and the wine parings second to none. The use of local produce and wines were perfection.

I went to a wedding reception there. The starters / finger food was incredible. Extremely tasty and catered to all palates and diets. Drinks were served by very helpful and conscientious staff. It was a pleasure to be there and I will definitely be returning one day for lunch!
