Moss on Wood

Went to Moss on Wood to celebrate my birthday. The prawns were succulent. The chilli wings were divine. The steak was juicy. The mashed potato was creamy. The cocktails were refreshing.

Sunday 3/3/24. Excellent service from the get go. From being seated through to payment. Water carafe served while being seated, polite active listening service, drink and food service timely. I never considered here for breakfast but highly recommend after this experience. Will be returning. Food was tasty and ample, couldn’t finish my plate.

Saturday morning breakfast adventures, lead me to Moss on Wood.
Lovely place where you can sit inside or on the footpath (not literally, they do have tables and chairs out there 😁).
Big Breakfast... And Chilli Scrambled Eggs.
Big Breakfast has all the traditional items, and is exactly that....BIG.
Chilli Scrambled Eggs was amazing. Spicy chilli sauce (their own concoction) with grilled chorizo. Magic combination and extremely yummy.
Place can get busy at times, so worthwhile booking.
Well worth the effort.....so glad I did.

Came in a little late for the Brekky service. But the chef saw my desperate need for a avo on toast haha. Justin came out from the kitchen and helped me out I ordered and had a really good Brekky. Fresh local sourdough and a huge portion of avo. Good bang for your buck. Cheers team !

delicious and filling serves, nice variety with the menu, lots of old favourites. cocktails good selection. Staff helpful and courteous. wonderful ambient atmosphere, could have been the company too.

Fantastic!! Lovely services, lots of people of different ages enjoying themselves even during this gross 😝🥺👎 Corona virus...My good friends Kristina and Adrian Jensen ' Significant Other' played my favourite songs 🎵 dating 1980', 90's, 2000's. And once again I felt young!!😁😉

Only in Mackay once every 3 months but Moss on Wood is always the best place to go, hands down! Best service with a smile from Cheryl and Justin in the kitchen always providing the best meals!

Recent visit was nothing short of delicious. Crisp, crunchy zuchini chips. One of the best peices of Barramundi. The food was perfect. The staff accommodating and freindly. A great spot for dinner.

Cant speak highly enough of Anthony in the gaming room.. He has the up most best customer service 👏 such happy also chatty guy but always making sure we were looked after.. was nice two nights spent there as we were staying in accommodation at rydges. Thanks Anthony again

Friendly service, nice quiet atmosphere. Food was great. Much more variety on their menu than the google menu photos indicate.

Moss on Wood is a cool & funky little place. The savory mince for breakfast is amazing. Reminds me of when my mum would cook it for me when I was younger still living at home. Give it a crack, you won't regret it 😊

It is a very cool and cozy place to meet with family and friends. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. I would come back again

They let me order a kids meal which was cool coz ive been to eg madagascar n they made such a big deal about adults not being able to order kids meals but I'm a small eater n hate wasting food so I appreciate it when people allow me to do that. Ordered chicken nuggets n chips n believe it or not had to ask for a tk away box coz cudnt finish even that huge portion of fries. Will b my brkie tom.paid 12$

Everything was great. Especially our food. It was very delicious, came out quickly and looked very presentable. Service was polite and efficient. Definitely recommend.

Amazingly food , the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the chef was on point! The food was above par! This restaurant is decently priced and the food exceeded the cost! No other restaurant on that street can say the same , we have tried them all
