We visited today for the first time and were greeted by the lovely staff before entering. They showed us a selection of cheeses, made recommendations and we decided to try their tasting board. $15 per person is quite reasonable and we ended up leaving with some crackers, cheeses and relish. Very impressed and will visit again. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Hunter Valley Cheese factory is a great place to visit if your after a pleasant & causal experience. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. Dave the Cheese maker who was such a pleasant person greeted us. Great setup with tasting platters that are reasonably priced with beautiful fresh cheeses and condiments. Highly recommend

Hunter Valley Cheese Factory is a true delight! I learned how to make Riley’s Fromage Blanc cheese with Dave and it was amazing. I felt like I was part of a very old and special way of making cheese. I also tried eight different cheeses with wine and it was very tasty. I liked how each cheese and wine had a different flavor and smell. This workshop was not just fun; it was a way to show how much I love cheese and trying new things. A must-visit spot for anyone exploring the Hunter Valley region.

This is an amazing family run business in the Hunter Valley. Incredibly knowledgeable staff and great service. Highly recommend to anybody. It's a must visit when you come to the Hunter Valley.

Our visit to the Hunter Valley Cheese Factory was an absolute delight, making it a highlight of our Hunter Valley trip. The selection of cheeses is outstanding, offering a wonderful variety that caters to every palate. We were particularly enchanted by the creamy Brie, the robust Cheddar, and the exquisite Blue Cheese. Each cheese we tasted was a testament to the artisanal quality and dedication to cheese-making excellence.

What truly set our experience apart was the exceptional service and the beautifully curated cheese packages. The staff's passion for cheese and their eagerness to share their knowledge enhanced our visit significantly. This was awesome. We did the $15 per person cheese tasting and it was just delicious and plentiful. The staff were so kind and informative. The cheeses/tasting board is just enough to taste a variety on different crackers. We then bought a few items from the shop to take home. Perfect!

My son and I had a lovely experience here on the weekend. I did a cheese tasting and they brought out a little tasting tray for him as well. Which was so sweet. It was a great little snack lunch, if you were between a breakfast buffet and a dinner.
The staff were so delightful, such lovely and knowledgeable people. The cheese platter had all the trimmings and I walked away with some Hunter gold wash rind, caramelised balsamic vinegar and a massive smile. 😀

A good cheese platter for $14. The staff was nice and explained about the different cheeses and making. You cannot see the process of cheese making. The cheese would go best with the McGuigan wines next door :)

We love this cheese factory and its cheeses. We make sure we drop by every time we're in the Hunter Valley and are never disappointed with the different batches of cheeses. This time we got a selection which included the creamy smooth Hunter Valley Bianco and the delicious nutty Hunter Gold Washed Rind. We would have loved to try their tasting platter but were sadly running short on time. The staff are always so approachable, helpful and friendly answering questions we just love this place. It's a must stop for all cheese lovers!!!!

First time cheese tasting and this one has set such a high bar for me.

The cheese was delicious, went in and bought some of them to bring back to family to try. The sweet chilli jam is to die for, that brie, that fetta! You need to eat here at least once before leaving the valley.

We also added the meat platter and boy did it add to the flavour and experiences of this tasting. I cannot recommend this hard enough.

Best cheese factory! Although they don’t have much variety, i would say their cheese are the best that we ever had. Our favourites are their Hunter Gold Wash Rind, Fromage Blanc and their cheddar. We also took home their caramalised balsamic, sooo rich. Staffs are friendly, especially Blake. He is very lovely and have a very good knowledge of cheese, please ask for him if you are doing cheese tasting. Will definitely be back!

Good place to get introduced to cheese tasting. They do a tasting platter for 14.95. One of the staff who works their is very nice and bubbly. He is very knowledgeable and is an asset to this organisation. They also do a bigger platter for sharing between more people. They do have ample or indoor and outdoor seating and have McGuian winery besides them which make it a good spot for chilling out in the valley.

Lovely cheeses! I don't normally like blue and I even enjoyed that. The balsamic vinegar was so superb we bought a bottle.

Very good customer service and they sell a wonderful amount of different cheeses and products, the one I Favour is the Irish cheddar, and they were very helpful with the product knowledge.

my partner and I were up for the weekend. This was our first stop and we both had a wonderful experience. The customer service is great here so we had to return for more. There's a lovely gentleman that works here, who recognised us the next day when we came back! great experience
