Very good place for camping in the natural setting, Not too far from city. The walking trails and creek beside adds to the beauty. We stayed in the camp site 1, which has its own firepit and table. Where as some other campsites share the table with a neighbor. A bit smaller sites for big tents, ours fitted perfectly being 5pax.

A very peaceful place to stay, wasn't too packed when we were there most likely due to the recent fire north of the campground (had been contained by the time we got there). Three drop loos, could see how facilities could get overwhelmed if campsite fully booked. Recommend BYO loo roll in case. Also two BBQs but one wasn't working when we went. Sites for both tents, campervans and caravans. Must book and pay for sites. We turned up and people were camped in our site, even though we paid and booked. They shuffled on and ended up setting up their camp in the day visit parking area! Clearly hadn't booked or paid. Small fee to help maintain the space. Small price to pay for the privilege so do the right thing. Short 4+km walk directly from the camp site to the next picnic ground or continue on for a much longer 18km return walk to wombalano falls. Highly recommend!

Cozy campground with limited but spacious sites. Each campsite was extremely beautiful with shared tables and fire pits. Ample parking space, reasonably clean toilets. Quite a few hiking trails nearby and a couple towns at around 10 minutes driving distance if you need supplies.

Great campsites, good and well-maintained toilets, good firepits (mine is site 11 & 12 - the grill plate was broken, only firepit) but have a great night there with bring-a-long firepit grill. We have a wonderful walk-trekking there. My lil princess love the small creek there. Will come back again soon. Surely will be booking side-by-side campsite!

As a full-blooded, hardaussie battler who enjoys time in nature after hard time on the work tools (laptop, Microsoft teams, keep cup), I enjoyed setting up stumps at the Gums Campground. I appreciated the luxury of the Gum's established firepit, camp table and flattened ground. although, I thought I was going to have to battle (yes, battle) a kangaroo to enter the bathrooms but thankfully, Skippy (it's not racist to kangaroos to assume that name because he had a name tag on (it's not sexist to assume his gender because the name tag included Skippy's preferred he/him pronouns)) decided to step (hop) aside to let me use the throne. Enjoyed it thanks Parks Vic 👍

Great camping area closer to Melbourne City surrounded by the kinglake national park.

Nice places to walk and private camping areas, it is a bit close to the main road. But not too noisy.

Nice camping area. Have different sized sites to suit different types of campers. Loved the fire place.

Very good and quiet location. watch out before booking of the camping site, because some camping sites have to share the firepit. for example 13. camp site and 14. camp site. all of them close to toilet which is nice. There is no phone reception at least for optus.

I've seen a few wallabies and a joey, a koala and possums in one night here.
Great toilets

Stayed on site 11 which fit 4 tents and a gazebo easily. Some sites are a bit smaller, would suggest booking 2 if a large group. Toilets well maintained everyday by the park rangers. Water tank onsite but must bring drinking water with you. Fire pits on some sites. Well shaded by large trees, beautiful to wake up hearing the forest. Plenty of wood available if able to cut it.

Really good campground although I wish some fellow campers were a little more considerate by not leaving rubbish, leaving the toilets usable etc. really nice place though and we will keep coming back.

Nice little camping spot to the north of Kinglake which has a few walking tracks. There’s about 20 spots for camping and parking space near the camp spots. Has a little river spot right next to it so you can go into the river. There’s also toilets and water tap to wash your hands and feet if needed.

Within 1 hr drive from Melbourne + fire pit for each camp site + toilet + plenty walking tracks + 4wd routes nearby = my favorite camping spot.

A great spot, easilt accessible with excellent amenities (toilet, bbq). Camping sites are well spaces out and quite private. There are some nice walks and wildlife in the area. We were visited by a cheeky wallaby, who decided to join us for breakfast! Good hotplates available for cooking over the fire.

Great little campground inside the forest. Short stroll to creek, toilet and tracks. Don't forget to bring drinking water and repellant!
