Great place to camp nearby some great walks within Murrindindi.
This campsite has fire pits, toilets (both flushable and pits), and picnic tables at many of the sites.
This is a fee payable site which can be done online, but it is quite cheap and funds go directly into future upgrades to the site (more toilets, etc).

What a beautiful reserve. So peaceful, great hiking tracks, river and camping areas.

A very beautiful place for a medium walk to perhaps one of the best waterfalls near Melbourne. Camping is also available here with some very good fire places.

Murrindindi Reserve is a beautiful spot, less than 2 hours from Melbourne and possibly one of the lesser known camping and hiking destinations in Victoria.
The campsites are all spacious and set by the river. Each site fenced which gives a feeling of privacy and firepits are in each one. Some sites are walk in for tents camping, but parking is close by. Long drop loos, very clean. No showers. No dogs.😒
Csmpers select and empty site then go online to book, no prebookings which means it is on first come basis. There is however one area near the day visitor section that can be pre booked for groups.
Plenty of hiking including a 24km return trip along the river and 2/3 hike to Murrindindi Falls- uphill, so fitness required.

Such a beautiful spot. Went there few weeks before Xmas and I thought it would be really busy, not at all. So much space that everybody get there own spots. Some nice hikes starting from the campsite. The river is perfect for a swim after a hot day. Plenty of flushed clean toilets. Would definitely recommend it. Make sure to pay for it. Only 7 dollars per cars... About 1h45 from Melbourne so perfect for a weekend away.

Beautiful place to camp, there are few different campgrounds all of them with firepits.
You can find space for any group size.
I personally camped in the last campground and I found it really welcoming and nice.
Plenty of off roads for 4wd and nice walks to do.
Beautiful place

One of my favourite camping area. Where you have a fire pit and toilet for a very low price. Next to a creek and hiking trails that lead you to a beautiful water falls

Amazingly beautiful and but 1.5hrs from Melbourne. Especially worth walking out to the waterfalls, and the drive to Cascades is worth it to see the falls there and possibly have a plunge in the freezing water! Just be careful not to go anywhere that could have you slip and crash... Waterfalls beautiful but also dangerous!

Plenty of camping sites. Starting at $7 per car per night. Nice green open areas. Close to river. Flushing toilets.

Really nice walk no matter the weather! A lovely walk with the dog, although lots of steps near the waterfall (which our dog is always a bit apprehensive!). Lots of great views, wildlife and varying landscapes to explore. A great break away from the city!

Beautiful place. Tracking had been a great experience. Honestly as go forward, tracks get more harder to walk . Really good adventure. But as u reach the water fall .,, you forget the hard work done to reach there.

Just fabulous, this place has so much too offer for a variety of people. Hikers, Campers, Sites for Campers Caravans Tents it has it all. The beautiful river that flows through to the tall trees surrounds you as you sit in amazement of the beauty of the Yarra Valley..

Wonderful place to go camping with family and friends. We went on some amazing walks. I would highly recommend this place. The only downside is the dirt road on the way in which was somewhat greasy.

Great location to camp with the family!
This camping is lovely and flat and right next to the creek (which is great for hot summer days!). All the campsites have access to pit toilets at least, but the ones to the north also have access to flush toilets too.
Almost every campsite I have seen in this area has a fire pit and the sites are large enough to easily fit a camper trailer or a couple of generous tents with the car.
There are some beautiful walks in the area including up to the waterfalls nearby. Highly recommend this spot as it is not too far from Melbourne, but just far enough to be able to relax.

Absolutely beautiful area and plenty of camping areas that are fully serviced. I come here every year with the kids. The only down point is that more and more young idiots are coming and partying all night. We are currently reporting a large group that partied until 4am. Otherwise, Murrindindi is beautiful and a great place to take the family.

Stunning spot off the beaten track with multiple campsites and reasonable fees. Walk to the falls is a great highlight.
