Golden Plains Shire Council

Took a long time to get action from the golden plains shire but a1 tree services have done an excellent, thorough and professional job clearing branches on derwent jacks rd, berringa. It has turned it from being a one way width road In some sections for higher vehicles such as the school bus, rubbish trucks, cfa tankers and commercial private trucks into a safe 2 way thoroughfare. Well done.

All these bad reviews are fake💀💀💀. I live here and I would regret living elsewhere.

For 2 years I have contacted council and the newish Mayor about the inappropriate drains in front of my home. I have been told by council to get in line as they are still doing works from 2019 and from the Mayor, who incidentally said he would keep me informed and certainly did NOT, that there are not enough funds, there is no solution as the water has no where to go. Who planned this? Who designed this? Who OK’d this? An engineer also recently contacted me to ask me to withdraw my complaint as they are going to a study on the problem. It’s already been over 2 years.

The worst roads in any shire/council you could almost go as far as saying in the state, you say you have a road management plan I beg the differ I have been out here for over 30 years and the roads have always been bad but now they are atrocious.You wanna charge us all the big bucks to live here through excessive rates we’ll step up to the plate and at least give us a decent road to drive on, the amount of pot holes untouched and left to further destroy the road is just laughable, the amount of wheel alignments I have had to get is just disgraceful thanks to your management plan.Step up to the plate and give us at least drivable roads or get someone in the chair that can get the job done.

This shire cares not for it's community at all. Massive rate increases, rate cap rise request from Government even though The 2018-19 rate cap has been set by the Minister for Local Government at 2.25%;. 2020 rates, and an increase in the Municipal Charge from the current 2018-19 rate of $225.00 to $300.00 per ratepayer household regardless of the value of the property - supposedly to 'even' up things across the municipality. NOT!!! This Council, or more correctly Shire, should be investigation for misappropriation of funds. Ratepayers are not getting a fair go. Shame on you Golden Plains Shire!!

Highest rates in the country? No green waste bin? Tiny little standard bin only picked up fortnightly? Worst roads in Victoria? Must be Bannockburn Shire, the zero responses to reviews says it all,lol. oh and they will fine you if you pick a stick up off the side of the road in golden plains lol

You will he voted out soon. Raising rates and restricting riding bikes in our own land. Shame!!!

Terrible what they did to Sam and James. Sort yourselves out and take accountability.
