McCarthy's Lookout

Very smoky from all the bush fires but still a fantastic view. Just drive up and park in one of about 8 car parking spots. Caravans and large motorhomes will need to just park in the street.

With such amazing views you could spend so much time here just relaxing & either having a lunch or for just a quick RnR

Beautiful scenic drive to the lookout. The lookout itself features a stunning view of The Glass House Mountains. Amenities include a fairly large carpark and picnic tables... no restrooms though. Drones are prohibited here.

The general area is perfect for weddings or honeymoons.

Breath taking view available. If you are lucky I will even get to see a variety of birds there as well

It has a very well maintained sheltered arrangement and has sufficient parking spaces.

Really easy access you park directly off of the main road. A great view to the south towards the Glass House Mountains.
A couple of picnic tables with shelter but no toilet facilities.

Breathing views just up the road from Mary Cairncross Park, it's well worth the stop! You can see right down to Brisbane City on a clear day! There's a little undercover area where you can sit and take in the view, I only wish there was a barbecue but bring a cut lunch and it's the perfect spot for a small picnic!

Great place to stop and take in the Glasshouse Mountains. Had a couple of tables and a bin fur rubbish, but no water tap to wash hands.

Why the Council has installed a new gazebo and seat on the side that faces a neighbours house is quite puzzling though.

Anything with Scenery landscape, Mother.N's Creation is ALWAYS 5* to me. The ride was awesome too. The freedom riding a Motorcycle 🏍 👌 😎 is Fantastic honestly. There's some Beautiful homes, Bed & Breakfast Joints up this way & as I rode passed a Gorgeous looking Cafe/Restaurant 😍 👌. Have to go back & check them out. To be continued

Nice quiet spot to park the car & enjoy some lunch with a great view. Listened to some birds and admired the beautiful Glasshouse Mountains ⛰
The nice big rotunda is great for shade & there’s a couple of tables inside to sit at.

Beautiful 180deg view on a beautiful day. We were lucky it was not busy so it was a highlight being able to enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature 😌

A bit of a drive, but amazing views! Well worth the trip,will bring a picnic next time. Only thing that would make it perfect would be a toilet there.

Amazing lookout on the glasshouse mountains. Beautiful drive up to the lookout as well. There are a couple of picnic tables there to enjoy a bite while taking in the magnificent view. There are also a few other unmarked lookouts on the way to the spot which also offer a great view.

Absolutely amazing views - was a beautiful day so visibility was unlimited. Well worth the trip up from the coast.

Amazing sight. Must visit lookout if you are in Maleny. Wonderful view of the valley below. Superb view of sunset. Parking is available onsite.

This is the quintessential lookout to see the Glasshouse Mountains from their best angle. The Mountains can be seen clearly and all together. Great lookout.
