Such a wonderful way to spend a morning, evening or entire day. The staff are all lovely and friendly and do such a good job at ensuring the birds are respected and kept as safe as possible. Plenty of lovely spots for a picnic as well! Must do in Maleny

The word that pops into my head the minute we arrive at Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird Sanctuary is WOW. I have visited here once before and it is even more spectacular than I remember. From the birds you can get a photo with at the entrance, to the sweeping views of the Glass House Mountains, this place will blow you away. There are buggies for hire if you don't want to walk around the paths, that can be a little steep in places. There are also many rotundas dotted around the gardens where you can sit and relax. Of course you can visit the farm friends enclosure and also take a walk through the bird aviaries with a guided tour. There are so many gorgeous birds to see. Also there is a kiosk and cafe. Definitely worth a visit. Make sure to allow a few hours.

This place offers amazing opportunity to interact with birds.

During your visit, you enter various rooms and learn the story of their inhabitants.

The birds seem happy, trusting, not stressed, and often very curious about new guests. They come to you on their own, sit on your shoulder or sing love serenades to you..

It was absolutely sweet experience.
I believe this place will remain close to my heart.

Thank you for what you do, it's a mission worth supporting!

We had an amazing day!! Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly, the food was amazing and we had so much fun with the birds and the farming friends. By the way: as the birds love jewelry they offer paper tape to cover everything. So you don't need to take everything out.
We highly recommend this park and would love to come back.

We had an amazing time!! The tour of the Aviary was amazing! Biggest we have seen so the animals could happily fly around. The guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. Most of the birds have been rescued or obtained from previous owners. They’re well looked after. The animal farm was awesome also! I’ve never seen such clean pens. Best scones I’ve had from the cafe with a gorgeous view of the glass house mountains. Opted to walk around the gardens as we wanted the exercise - gorgeous flowers and wild birds flying in. Loved our time there, would highly recommend and would love to come back with relatives!

I enjoyed the experience of the Maleny Botanic Garden! It was exciting to be guided through the different areas where the birds fly free in the closed (netted) areas. The birds could land on your person if they choose!! They were comfortable living in their space as a guide walked us through the different bird areas.
It's a beautiful place! The staff are friendly and helpful. I didn't explore the entire property on this visit but I have every intention of returning to do that!!

We have been twice now and love it! Must do the farm friends and aviary tour. Golf buggy hire for additional $45 is also a great idea for really hot days, otherwise the walk through the grounds is still lovely. Rose garden is beautiful in Summer when flowers are blooming. Children should be supervised closely in the aviary tour, definitely not a let them loose situation.
Farm friends has baby goats, donkeys, sheep, pig, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs. Brushes provided to brush animals. Feed costs $4 a bag and the animals go crazy for it.
Singing bird is the greatest attraction 👌 ask for the old MacDonald song.

Nice botanical garden with beautiful views, pleasant walking paths and striking greenery. It is possible to rent a golf cart for those who cannot bear to walk through the entire park. With that said, the park isn't too big in my opinion. The farm animals are cute and the birds are beautiful. There are many tables available if you bring your own picnic. Perfect for a day trip!

This place is a MUST for young and old alike. I live locally and had never been here until 2 days ago when my visitors requested to go there. I’d definitely been missing out as this place is awesome. We did the Avery tour which is well worth the investment to get up close and personal with the many feathered friends which are so well looked after and loved. The cafe is lovely with a good choice of menu items. I thoroughly recommend the foot long kransky and sauerkraut bun and the other menu items are good too with large serves of food for very reasonable prices.
The animal farm is clean and the animals are well looked after and cuddly…even the little miniature goats. The pig is not so cuddly but very affectionate to those who enter.
The staff are very knowledgeable about all things feathered and furred. The gardens are manicured perfectly and so so pretty. You may hire a golf buggy for around $45 for an hour to help you get around the botanical gardens or walk but there are a lot of hills and it’s quite a large area.
The cafe is open to guests even if you don’t wish to partake in an Avery tour.
I can’t encourage you all enough to go to this amazing place. We loved it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit today. The bird world is a guided walk through the expansive walk-in aviaries that took our group approximately 45 minutes to complete, then you are done. A great chance to see birds in free-flight, and for close encounters with majestic, exotic parrots and native cockatoos also - but you have to let the birds come to you (as in, you do not approach them) as many are rescue birds. Which is fine by me! You can tell the staff genuinely love and care for the animals, which is wonderful.

My only wish is that we could have arrived earlier in the day. We didn't really get the chance to take on the gardens in their entirety. The Aviary tour was a delight. Our guide, Chris, made it all the more enjoyable with his upbeat approach to his job. This is the sort of place you could spend a day exploring and still find new views if you returned the next day.

What a fabulous place! Clean and tidy & animals well looked after. Hired a buggy and ordered the picnic lunches. Food quality was awesome and it was so amazingly delicious. All staff were so helpful & friendly and although busy, service was prompt and efficient.

Well worth the price for the guided tour that included the opportunity to interact with all kinds of birds in the five different aviaries. The guild made sure each person who wanted to have a bird sit on them got a chance. Even though it was a rainy day, the surrounding gardens offered a good variety of flora and great views. Don’t miss the talking birds behind the reception area. Amazing!

Had a fantastic time visiting the Aviary and the farm animals. The birds and farm animals were so friendly and gentle and you can interact with them too. If you like feeding the farm animals, buy the animal feed at the reception/ ticket desk, you will be their favourite person!

The staff were also really helpful and passionate about caring for the birds and farm animals and are great with helping you with any questions.

We really liked the botanical garden, the aviary and the staff. The garden is exceptional and well maintained. In the aviary you can see and interact with many different species of birds. We fell in love with this place. Many thanks to Frank and his team.

We had the most amazing experience here at the Bird world. The opportunity to be able to interact with the birds and the farm animals is so wonderful.
It's a great place for adults and kids alike.

The botanical gardens are beautifully landscaped with many walking paths and places to sit down and relax or even have a picnic. The many little ponds and lakes add to the beauty and serenity of the gardens. You can come equipped with your own picnic basket, or you could rent one once you arrive.
I would suggest visiting the gardens early in order to cover the entire extent of the gardens.
There is free parking on site.
A definitely must visit place if you are a nature and animal/ bird lover!!
