Gold Coast Rheumatism - Dr Jeffrey Tsai

I thoroughly recommend Dr Tsai. I have had the best treatment by him for my Psoriatic Arthritis in various parts of my body, and finally went into remission with full mobility and no pain.

I will definitely be seeing him again if I have any further flare-ups. He is a very humble, kind, empathetic man, and listens to what you, as the patient, say and want in regard to your own treatment, which is quite rare.

I saw Dr Tsai in December to check and update my medications for arthritis/polymyalgia. While there he possibly saved my life by diagnosing a heart problem. I took his advice and consulted with a heart specialist and within 6 weeks had open heart surgery for a severe mitral valve leak. The heart surgeon remarked that it was a very good pick up by Dr Tsai. Needless to say, I highly recommend Dr Tsai.

I really quite was surprised to read a negative review. Dr Tsai helped me immensely I went from being unable to walk without severe pain to walking without a walking stick within a few months after suffering a severe flare of ankylosing spondylitis early this year. In my experience he is a very kind, humble and extremely helpful and knowledgeable doctor . I would and have recommended him to anyone needing a Rheumatologist. He also has excellent communication skills so not sure what that previous negative comment was alluding to. Highly unusual to encounter a specialist of his expertise that does not act like he is God himself. !

I have been seeing DrTsai for over 5 years.I would highly recommend him and i do to anyone needing a specialist Rheumatologist. Both my father and my sister ses him also looks after my daughter. He is kind compassionate and gentle listens to all your concerns. He is open to discuss all possible alternative treatments such as yoga physio etc.
He never pedals drugs that you dont want to take he respects your decisions.
I wouldnt trust anyone else.

I was referred to Dr Tsai by my GP.
I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis in my body joints in 2019 Nuclear medicine test in Melbourne.
Dr Tsai had my hands non-nuclear X-rayed and was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis. It is still Arthritis!

I found dr tsai on the internet and asked for a referral from my doctor and I went and saw him to help me with some medical stuff I was suffering with I have bad gout and wanted to look into it. He was very helpful and honest he recommend I get a MRI and he referred me to a bulk billing one which was awesome because normall that costs a couple hundred dollars so I saved some money which was awesome . He is very professional and know a lot about arthristis and foot and joint problems he writes good in depth reports and is very professional . If your looking for specialist for foot or joint problems or arthristis give him a go . Also the practice is in good location near tram station and there is good free parking at the tennis courts at Southport 2 minute walk to the doctors surgery . Also the reception staff good send reminder txts and calls so you know when your appointments coming up . Highly recommend .

Excellent Doctor, knows his job well. Have been to him for a long time and wouldn’t trust anyone else.

The admin/reception lady at the front desk was extremely rude, not helpful at all, didn't care, treated me and my partner like we were lesser people and wouldn't answer any questions at all, which my GP referred us to Dr Jeff Tsai. My GP advised us that the admin lady would talk us through the common steps and basic information in regards to Synvisc Injection, as we had no knowledge (besides our GPs quick advise about Synvisc) We will source the procedure elsewhere and this admin lady rudeness has just loss business to Dr Tsai. I will advise my GP about how bad we were treated, PLUS I'm not a lesser person, I work for Shell Gas Australia and earn amazing money, so she judged me wrong from the start. Anyway Dr Tsai loss, so we will go elsewhere in Brisbane for the procedure and give my money to someone else who actually cares and is professional. Lastly, the admin rude lady, needs more training with better PR skills

Hi Was refered to another dr here - but was cancelled & asked if i would see Dr.Tsai.

In all honesty i could not recoo him - Sorry - but his english was Bad - which made it extremely difficult - He is a nice man & probably a good dr. If you can communicate - He typed everything as he was talking on his screen so we could actually read what he was saying ???
This was SO FRUSTRATING & slow & at a time when i was very unwell / confused & in a lot of pain - I was going for a second opinion before i commited to drugs my original Rhuemy wanted me to take - And basically this was of NO help whatsoever .
I REALLY felt like i didn't want to pay for this "service" as i left?
You wait forever - pay through the butt to get in to see these people and in this instance i was absolutely no better off.

I saw dr Tsai and what a waste of time and money, he can’t even speak English properly I dont understand how he is a Dr! I was very disappointed with him he has no idea how to diagnose his patients.’’ PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH HIM’’
