Lower Wilhelmina Falls

One of the best falls in Vic. Visited in early November. Good amount of water. Multiple viewings areas. Steep climbs with stairs in some places. Support chains in difficult steps. Worth trailing. Two car parks to access from top and bottom. Access from bottom seems easier, safer, but bit far.

Challenging walk but can be done with kids as takes about 1.5hrs from the campsite.

The walk to the upper Falls which is about 20-25mins extra is much steeper but can still be done with kids as young as 5 (if you have treats to encourage them! But will need to hold their hand on the way down to be safe). There are steps and guide chains to help.

It's a bit of a hike up there but it's worth it.

Between 30 to 40 minutes walking, Difficulty level is definitely a 4/5. High viewing platform that is situated above the where the wilhemina falls runs down.
Lovely waterfall. Highly recommended. The track leading there is a bit slippery if you don’t have good tread on your shoes. Definitely a hard trail to get there. The view is incredible ,I recommend trying the viewing platform a few steps down.

It might be a bit physically demanding to get to them but worth it.

amazing Falls. lived in Melbourne my whole life and never heard of this spot only 1.5 hours out. will be coming back

Enjoyed the walk but it's a bit of a trek the second part is a lot harder but the view is worth it

We started our walk at the SEC camp car park. The walk up to the falls was very smooth and even, then became rockier and steeper. There were excellent views at the falls and the spot was very tranquil and peaceful
