Wilhelmina Falls Viewing Platform

Decent ascent to the viewing platform, but no real view of the waterfall from there as the trees have grown and are obstructing the view. Spectacular view of the surrounding mountains and valley though! Best view of Wilhelmina Falls is actually from the first lower junction point. We just did the walk from the suspension bridge car park up to the Falls which according to our tracker, was 7.5kms return but the walk up to the Falls was very uphill, muddy and slippery in some spots. There is a larger loop walk you can do but we didn't have time. Wear decent shoes, we saw a lady wearing high heel boots as we were coming up and I couldn't stop thinking of the blisters she must have! 🤣

Beautiful walk and descent from the Scenic Reserve carpark. Quite a long walk but well worth it for the views at the end! Lots of steps down to the bottom of the cascade (or ascending upwards), and you can carefully venture out towards the cascades if you're careful. Great for photos and we took our dog with us (there were no signs to say no dogs allowed at the time of visiting).

It was a great hike to get to the Wilhelmina falls starting from the SEC campground. Amazing place.

Simply breathtaking is all one can say. Its within reach of most people. Do yourself a favour and see it for yourself. The walk is great too, well marked and clear. Might be a little muddy and slippery if raining conditions..

Make sure you walk a little beyond the access point to walk up to the viewing platform so you can see the whole of the falls.

High viewing platform that is situated above the where the wilhemina falls runs down. We haven’t walked right to the top yet but we saw the metal steps leading up there. We just stayed on the path below at the base where it drops down.

Lovely waterfall. Highly recommended. The track leading there is a bit slippery if you don’t have good tread on your shoes.

Well worth the trek

I did this with the Yea Scouts Group and most of us are around 11-14 and we found it quiet easy (except our legs were like jelly)

Great place for a bushwalk with a top view! It's legit stunning actually and usually very quiet.
