An institution. Beautiful guest garden overlooking the old Danube. The main house is across the street and the waiters zip their orders electronically to the kitchen. When it’s ready they get a notification and they pick up the order, cross the street and put in front of you.

Birner is THE traditional viennese Restaurant on the Old Danube. The restaurant directly on the Danube with its large Terraces opens during the summer. I love to go to the old restaurant opposite the "beach venue". They serve traditional Austrian food. Noon time (Mo-Fr,
12pm-3pm) there is lunch available for 9 Euro. Today to my surprise they additionally had also a vegetarian lunch. Check it out! It's a place to visit!

Always a great place to eat authentic Viennese food.
Unfortunately there is not always a possibility to sit at the water.

Love that place! I often come here after a walk with my dog along the Danube. Food served is traditional Austrian. You can get only drink or coffee though just as well. The garden outside to sit offeres one or two platforms overlooking the river and are completely overgrown so that there are enough places in the shade. Open also in winter. Very cosy inside but often very full.

Great outdoor beer garden. Great service and food. Such a relaxing atmosphere.

We always go here if we want to get good beer and some tasty food. There is also an ice saloon which provides delicious ice cream during the summer.

Great place to sit outdoors, with a view of a Danube arm, and very good Austrian dishes. Perhaps not so interesting if the weather does not allow to sit outside

Simple Viennese gasthause with spacious outdoor seating, perfect place for food and beer, nothing special but the Wiener-Schnitzel.
