Amazing venue with a really cool vibe. It has both an outdoor stage and a more intimate indoor stage. Few bars and food stalls inside the arena, and a decent bar inside the venue itself after scanning your ticket.
My only frustration was that my ticket didn’t specify that we were inside so we wore too many layers (late October gig) and also the whole place only takes cash! The nearest ATM was a 10 min walk… however drinks were very reasonably priced.
All in all an awesome venue for live music.

The place was amazing. The best chilled out concert venue I've ever been. Drinks reasonably priced and not long queue. Unfortunately our artist Ben Howard left much to desire as he did not play his top hits and most loved songs. Left us all fans quite disappointed 😞.

Top concert venue! I saw Bon Iver here and couldn’t choose a better spot. Very relaxed and cosy atmosphere, several spots to grab drinks, easily reachable toilets, possibility to stand on a balcony. The venue is just a few minutes walk from the bus terminal and is easily reachable by public transport. Very smooth entry and professional staff. Great sound and stage. I will definitely keep an eye for more concerts organized here. ✌

Common. Very good venue . Amphitheater situated, rather old industrial style . Perfect several bars . Perfect 3 places to eat. No queues. On Erdberg U Bahn station. Very easy access. Greasy air. Good sound . Large variety of concerts . Plenary of fun . The stage was at its maximum

A great place to see a gig.
The bars and food on site mean you can arrive early, the whole experience was fantastic.
And what a gig from Sunn O)))

Amazing cultural zone! Unfortunately, I have only had the opportunity to visit the 'Grosse Halle' so far. I like the venue very much. The sound at the concert (Life of Agony, Prong, Tarah Who?, January 2023) was solid. Beer is fine. I would like to have a cultural center like the Arena in Vienna in my hometown.

Incredible location for events and concerts. I saw the abbrunzati boys and it was amazing.

The building complex is very cool.
Food and drinks for reasonable price are available.

A perfect venue for an alternative, rock, metal or punk concert! The vibe is perfect and the people are crazy! The prices in the bar are quite steep though (5€ for a beer), but that can be expected.

A pillar in the austrian punk and music scene. Awesome location, good accessibility, well trained staff, reasonable prices both for the events and for the drinks/food.

A perfect venue to enjoy any artist with easy viewing from many levels, ample space away from the music for those so inclined.

This place is simply amazing I was taken here by my Airbnb host. She told me this place used to be a slaughterhouse and that it was taken over by punk rockers in the 1980s. They still have pretty big names come here and play punk rock concerts.if old school punk rock is your scene do not miss out on this opportunity to live a part of punk rock history in Europe. The people in the bar are very welcoming and inviting don't let their Mohawks scare you off.

The people were nice, the atmosphere was just right, and I saw one of my favourite bands live (Falling in Reverse) so I can only give this place 5 stars because it's awesome. The "old industrial complex" fell isn't for everyone but if you're into metal, rock, or any other non pop music style you'll find yourself right at home here.

Great place for concerts. Lot of fun at Madball and friends show. Please dont change this place, we underground people need this kind of sh*t.

Arena is one of the best music clubs in Vienna and even wider surronding. Especially rock & metal events make it special. Very well accesible, close to underground line and also affordable P+R parking place.

The best place for rock, metal and alternative music in Vienna. It is old factory building with big yard and multiple stages (big, small and one outside for the summer). Easy assessable beer 😁. I hardly recommend the place.

About Donauinsel
Island in Austria

The Donauinsel is a long, narrow artificial island in central Vienna, Austria, lying between the Danube river and the parallel excavated channel Neue Donau.
