My kids go to this library all the time and they love it. The librarian is a nice person. Make sure you check the opening time on one of the photos before visiting.

super bücherei. viele kinderbücher. zwar klein hat aber alles was man braucht. manchmal wirkt der bibliothekar sehr streng aber er ist sehr hilfbereit und kompetent!

Wir lieben diese Bücherei! Der neue Bibliothekar ist super, freundlich, engagiert, hilfsbereit und kennt sich aus! Große Auswahl an Kinderbüchern und auch für mich finde ich immer wieder etwas.

Klein, alt mit einem urigen Bibliothekar.

Jedenfalls einen Besuch wert im Vergleich zu neueren sterilen städtischen Büchereien.

Intriguing place. Small and a little stuffy but a good selection of books, especially children's books. The librarian seems to have rather anti-religious leanings, judging by the books he puts on display, but I don't really care.
The library is _never_ open around midday, so not a place to spend your lunch break.

About Donauinsel
Island in Austria

The Donauinsel is a long, narrow artificial island in central Vienna, Austria, lying between the Danube river and the parallel excavated channel Neue Donau. The island is 21.1 km in length, but is only 70–210 m wide. It was constructed from 1972 to 1988 primarily as a measure for flood protection. It has since become the most popular recreational area of the city. source
