A fascinating insight into Vietnam’s ethnic minorities and their traditions, with some beautiful portraits.

I usually find myself enjoying a museum/gallery for 20 minutes or so and then swiftly moving on, but this small museum kept me engaged for well over an hour and I only left because I had to. Highly recommend.

Loved it! It's a must visit for Hoi An! You get to connect with the traditional cultures of the many ethnic groups living in Vietnam. The artist whose photos are displayed has a deep passion for valuing and preserving these beautiful disappearing cultures! Deeply moving. I particularly loved that he is showing beauty in all stages of life focusing on older women and young girls in his photographers.

Somebody just happened to recommend this to me as I didn't have anything planned, but I'm so glad I went.
I'm not particularly an art enthusiast, however I do like photography. Réhahn has created the perfect balance to be able to enjoy the art and learn about the Vietnamese culture. The museum was mesmerising and his stories were fascinating.
Would 1000% recommend going if you're in Hoi An.

Incredible museum for learning about different tribes and ethnic groups in Vietnam. Would especially recommend for those who have spent time in Sapa or on the Ha Giang loop who are keen to learn more about the village people they might’ve seen.

A wave of emotion washes over me as I wander through the halls of the Precious Heritage Art Gallery. Witnessing Réhahn's dedication and love poured into projects celebrating Vietnam's diverse ethnic communities fills me with immense gratitude. The gallery unfolds like a captivating narrative, beginning with a vibrant display of photo books and postcards in the first space.

Moving into the gallery's heart, I immerse myself in the fascinating world of documentaries. Through these films, Réhahn unveils the intricate process of his remarkable work in remote regions of Vietnam.

Ascending the stairs, I am greeted by an alluring display of traditional costumes. Among them lie priceless treasures – the last surviving originals, crafted with techniques now lost to time. Each garment whispers tales of a rich cultural heritage, preserved with meticulous care.

Even the smallest details speak volumes of the gallery's dedication. The wooden frames surrounding portraits of ethnic representatives are meticulously laser-engraved with typical patterns reflecting their unique heritage.

The Precious Heritage Art Gallery is more than an exhibition, it is a journey of discovery, a must-visit place for any traveller seeking a deeper understanding of this vibrant nation.

Best museum I've visited in Vietnam. Walked around for hours seeing all the traditional costumes made by ethnic minorities, accompanied by some amazing photography and storytelling. If you want to learn more about hill tribes, you really need to see this.

What a beautiful gallery and museum.
What Rehann has done deserves so much credit. So much effort and work to bring us all this information about the different ethnic groups of Vietnam. With such detail and with examples of their beautiful costumes.

And it's FREE! You can buy a postcard or some of their beautiful pictures to support the museum.

Wonderful body of work, definitely worth the visit. It's a small museum but It'll take you at least one hour if you are interested in the vast information on display.

This is an art gallery that exhibits the collection of the photographer Rehahn in a French house. There are five rooms which has hundreds of portraits and many tribal costumes. They also have a shop at the entrance from where you can buy the portraits in different sizes.
The entrance is free.

The magnificent exhibition of this museum amazed me. You will get to know the ethnocultural layer of Vietnam through photographs and national costumes from all over the country. The best part is the museum is free. You can buy both photographs and stylish postcards. I recommend!

Amazing experience. I was blown away by the beautiful layout of the gallery, so many lovely pictures to see, and descriptions to read. Take your time here, don’t rush it. I would recommend a coffee before to keep you going for the long time focusing. 2 minutes in I was in some artwork appreciating-like trance, the next hour passed like the wind. A must see in Hoi An.

As a clothing stylist this museum is incredible. The photographer walks you through all the ethnic minorities of Vietnam and has both gifted + purchased pieces of traditional wardrobe on display. The exhibit is informative, beautiful, and definitely worth your time when visiting Hoi An.

It's a very very special place. In this small museum you will have the honor to see traditional clothing from every ethnic minority in Vietnam, as well as photos of them being worn by men or women from these minorities, by a french photographer. I greatly recommend!

This gallery could definitely ask for an entrance fee and it would be worth it.

You could easily spend 2 hours here, the provided information is incredibly interesting and interlaced with the photographer’s personal stories and experiences with the ethnic groups. The photos are truly beautiful and I also loved seeing the “backstage” photos with Réhahn, there could definitely be more of them!

Thank you for doing this 🙏🏼

This gallery of photography and the collection of traditional ethnic costumes is brilliant. The video of how the collection was gathered alongside the images is wonderful. Definitely the best place to visit in Hoi An. It's free to enter with a donation box to show your appreciation.
