Madam Khanh - The Banh Mi Queen

There’s a reason this place is busy!
We had read that there would be a long queue for this vendor so were surprised to find only a few people ahead of us when we arrived. Thankfully we knew exactly what we wanted as our order was taken really quickly.
We ordered the BBQ Bahn Mi with BBQ Pork, Vegetables, Pate, Egg Sauce, Papaya and Cucumber and we watched on as multiple staff in a precession made the Banh Mi’s as quickly as they were ordered.
The Banh Mi itself was totally worth the hype! The bread was warm and crusty on the outside but soft on the inside. And the filling was absolutely delicious!
We didn’t eat inside at the restaurant but nearby so when we were done we couldn’t believe how long the line had grown in such a small amount of time! Seems like we had arrived during one of the smallest of windows where there was no queue.
Would definitely recommend this place and don’t be put off by any queue - just try and know what you want before you get to the front!

Thought it was a tourist trap but damn they hit it well. Cheap (for Vietnam), good quality. Bit of a line at times.

Probably one of the best things is you aren't pulling out half the ingredients with each bite. They balanced it well, pate not too strong and clean meat

We visited the outlet before 7.30am, able to get the table right away. Food served was prompt, food quality is up to standard. Highly recommended 👍

Madam Khanh is definitely THE QUEEN of Bánh mì!!! We kept coming here for their delicious and reasonably priced Bánh mìs. They are so good, fast to arrive, and use the best fresh ingredients.

Must visit if you are in Hoi An. Don't be intimidated by the crowd outside. They have seats inside and on the second level as well.

They have a good selection of cold beer. Oh, and you must try their egg coffee. Yum!

Best Bahn Mi around. This and Bahn Mi Phuong are the 2 best Bahn Mi in Da Nang. Try both!

If you come here order the marinated pork with pate.

This place is super efficient. They served a 20 plus queue in front of me in 8 minutes. The Banh Mi are very good but the ones from banh Mi mama in Hanoi are slightly better as the latter toasts the bread and sandwich, which enhances the flavors and experience. But mama took over 40 minutes to serve 10. Can't fault the sandwiches here really, plus there's a place to sit down and eat them.

Recommended by our taxi driver and the hostel owner and this place did not disappoint. Our first Banh mi’s and they were sensational!
One mixed, one chicken and 2 soft drinks for 90k, so good and we will definitely be returning.
Only down side was that they brought the drinks after we finished eating but it was super busy.

Best bahn mi in Vietnam although we didn't try a lot of places. There's seating inside, so you don't necessarily need to queue up.

I prefer the chicken bahn mi over the pork one. Coconut water pairs up well with the spicy stuff.

Special tip: If you like chilli 🌶 ask for freshly cut ones 😉

We had the Chicken and BBQ Banh My and enjoyed both, especially the BBQ one which contained pork and pate. The bread itself was deliciously crispy and fluffy. Definitely worth the queue - be prepared to queue but the ladies running the stall were fast 30,000 dong for each -excellent price and good portion size.

The queen of banh mi is the real deal! I’ve been here many times over years and she still impresses. The banh mis are still 25-30k! This is a great example of where success hasn’t impacted quality and experience.

Yesterday my friend and I ordered an everything bang mi to share as a snack and had to order a second because it was so good. I like to add cheese too (not sure what this extra cost is).

Even though this restaurant can be really busy I feel like they don’t rush you so you can have your banh mi with a drink and take your time.

Very nice bahn mi. It was quite nice to have a place that has vegetarian bahn mi. Additionally I have no mushrooms and no tofu requirements which they also catered too. It was good see many other vegetarians and vegans visiting this place.
The place is more like fast food outlet which makes sense.
The vegetarian bahn mi I took had a layer of soy sauce which gave the taste to the bahn mi, it had cucumber, carrot, mung bean, onions and cheese.
The cold coconut coffee was also nice and went as food combination with the bahn mi.

It was the best Bahn Mi I had in Vietnam. It is rich in flavor, sweet and crispy. So much stuffing and a great combo of everything in one. I had a mixed one, and returned several times. WOW!

Super tasty banh mi! The bread was nice and crispy and fluffy on the inside, the filling was very juicy. A real taste sensation with vegetables and sauces. I can recommend adding a little of the chili sauce on top. The food was ready super quickly and it was nice to eat it in the restaurant. The various coffees were also very tasty. The price is unbeatable. An absolute recommendation for Banh Mi lovers!

Very good banh mi. Had the Mixed one (Item 1 on the menu) and the BBQ pork (item 6 on the menu). The crunchy exterior of the bread and the soft inside, with the meats and sauces made it super delicious. Reasonable price for the items we had, 30,000 VND each.

Will definitely go back for seconds, after trying a banh mi in another shop.

Excellent baguette on the same tasty level as Bánh Mì Sum. The meats here are leaner, while the sauce is not as sweet as Sum’s. We would definitely eat here again.

The best bahn mi that we ate at Vietnam. We tried the mixed, chicken and egg and they were all delicious. You can order to take away or to eat there. The only negative point was that there was a little bit hot in the room.

We came here for breakfast. The service was very quick and they were friendly. The sandwiches are amazing! Really generous portion for a reasonable price. They have a wide selection of juices and smoothies as well as tea and coffee.

This well-known banh mi spot did not disappoint! We tried the number 1 and the number 6. With Madam Khanh’s famous sauce….10/10! The staff are fun and engaging; be ready for a bustling atmosphere and a line, as the cafe is very popular.

To be honest I just went there because of the number of reviews, didn’t check much about it before hand and it was pretty nice.

Queue moves fast and they prepare the Banh Mi on the spot. The only downside is that they seemed to be closing and only have one option but it was delicious either way.

The price is quite affordable, around 30K all of them.

I saved having a Banh Mi till I got here. One because apparently Hoi is the Banh Mi capital of Vietnam and secondly this place is supposed to be one of the best spots. It was worth the wait. I got the BBQ Pork Banh Mi which comes with Pate and veggies inside. It was really good. I also got a cold Coconut Coffee which was good too.
