Hoi An International School

My son did his IGCSEs (Years 10 & 11) here, did really well & is happy. He’ll start A-levels next year. My daughter has been here for Years 8 & 9 and has also excelled & loves it. She’ll start IGCSEs in 2023/24. An amazing school atmosphere with comfortable and inspiring facilities, including a huge pool, big library and science lab, great community spirit, and teachers who go way beyond school hours to help the kids succeed. HAIS also stages amazing events, including this year’s musical The Wizard of Oz and a brilliant school Christmas concert (plus many more).

A leading pioneer in field of education in Hội An for kids wherein no matter which nationality, parents can send their children without any worries of the standards. Nice playing yard, international teacher and safe and higient class.

We moved from Hanoi to Hoi An one year ago, and I am so happy that we enrolled our 3 years old daughter in the Bilingual Early Years Program at HAIS. She truly enjoyed everyday at the school with her great teachers, both Vietnamese and international friends in various activities. Her English has been getting huge improved and we also realize she is good at and has great interest in Arts. The campus is nice and green, and she loves the food as well.

We chose Hoi An to relocate because we like the peaceful scenery with the beautiful Old Town, paddy fields and the stunning beaches. We did not think that we can find good school like HAIS in Hoi An, but amazingly we found it.

My son joined Year 9 this year having moved from Hong Kong. We are delighted with how quickly has settled and the excellent care he has received from his teachers both academically and personally. HAIS offers a wide range of activities to keep the students active including Archery and Basketball which we have really appreciated. He has also enjoyed the beautiful and campus and special events which build the school community.

We moved from Hanoi to Hoi An 2 years ago. My son has been in the bilingual programme since then and absolutely adores it. He is studying Vietnamese and English at school with super competent teachers, specialist teachers and support staff. He is safe, having fun and learning a lot. HAIS sure knows how to make going to school a wonderful adventure!

HAIS is a wonderful friendly environment that has a unique Bilingual programme. This program has 2 full days delivered in English and my child also joins the single subjects (PE, Art, Music and Drama) with the Primary International Students. My child is treated very fairly and at the same standard as the Primary students. I have been very satisfied since the initial admissions process, right through until today. All the staff are very caring and highly qualified. Very Happy!

I am the mother of 3 children who are in K2, Year 2 and Year 6.

I have been impressed by the quality of teaching, flexibility, and the listening skills of the different people I have met. A solution is always found and answers provided quickly.

The campus is just extraordinary, with a perfect harmony between nature (fruit trees, garden, chickens! ...), which the children need to evolve, and the quality of the classrooms, whether in terms of materials, supplies, library, games as well as the computer room.
Improvements are made on an ongoing basis.

The program is perfect, even for the little ones (I was quite impressed, especially compared to a certain other "international school" in Hoi An!)
Reports are sent to the parents on a weekly basis, which helps to keep track of the children's work.

Having 3 children in the school, I clearly feel that a team effort is being made and that the teachers are working together and have strong support and guidance from the management, which is very important to me as a parent.

The ECA (Extra-curiculum activities) are pretty nice, and the school has developed several very interesting free programs such as swim squad and basketball training.
The values taught to the children are the most important thing in my opinion. The students have a real sense of teamwork and respect.

The communication is not too much, not enough, and I understand it's one of the most difficult challenges of such scool.

Hope HAIS will remain with the same level of quality while growing.

Personal message from a family who had their children in the 2 international schools in Hoi An: don't hesitate! With similar prices, there is no comparison! HAIS is a very serious school, compared to GreenShoots which must have had its hour of glory but is now more properly managed.

We have watched our son grow over the last 3 years, HAIS's influence both from the teachers and the campus is what we were hoping for when enrolling Toan. The knowledge both social and academic he has gained are inspiring. The school's positive attention to students total wellbeing is what gives it the edge over others. The school continues its community growth and I'm sure it will be the first choice for parents when considering their children future education. 👏

My two boys attend HAIS and are thriving. The teachers and management are supportive and student-focused. We live in DaNang but the boys get the shuttle bus as it’s worth the travel. The mix of curriculum, arts, sport & swimming, stem, the garden and extra-curricular activities makes this a well rounded school. We left the country for nearly a year and chose this school again on our return.

After we went to 2 different schools in Da Nang, we moved to HAIS finally.

I heard that it is a good school from my friend, but I thought that it would be not so different from 2 schools which we went in Da Nang, because it is far from Da Nang City and it is located in a rural area.

I think I made a really good decision at that time to change schools.

Especially when my daughter tell me that she want to go to school to see her friends and teachers, I am really happy and thankful for the school.

My first child is going to this school and we are so happy when the kids just coming home happy and love to go to school everyday. It was lovely to have private talk with Mr. Brett Macdouall - the Principle, he really convinced me and my wife for his point of view about educating kids. My wife and i also have plan for the younger kid joining this school next year.

La meilleure école de Hoi An et Danang ! Le campus est grand très bien équipé il n'y a pas d'équivalent sur Hoi an et pour avoir testé l'autre école internationale de Hoi an je peux affirmer que Hoi an international school est la meilleure. Mes deux enfants 4ans et 9 ans y vont. Les professeurs sont très bien , une atmosphère bienveillante.

Thật vui khi cả 3 con tôi đều đang là học sinh của HAIS. Con gái đầu lớp Year 10, Con trai thứ 2 lớp Year 7 và con trai út lớp Billingual Playgrounp. Mỗi ngày được đến trường là mỗi ngày vui của các con. Vợ chồng chúng tôi rất yên tâm khi cho các con theo học tại HAIS, Ngôi trường mến yêu. Mong đại dịch sớm qua đi để ngày càng nhiều học sinh Việt Nam và Quốc tế gia nhập học và trở thành học sinh của Trường với những niềm vui và hứng khởi mỗi ngày. Con trai tôi là một trong những học sinh đầu tiên của trường. Sau 3 năm gắn bó, niềm vui mỗi ngày của con là được đạp xe tới trường. Nơi mà con được gặp gỡ giao lưu với các bạn tới từ rất nhiều quốc gia trên thế giới. Các thầy cô giáo quốc tế và Việt Nam có chuyên môn giỏi và nhiều kinh nghiệm giảng dạy, nắm bắt được tâm lý học trò. Con trai tôi luôn trả lời đầy tự hào về Hais nếu ai đó hỏi con học trường nào . Môi trường học nơi đây con được nhà trường và thầy cô phát huy, truyền lửa những điểm mạnh để con được nổi bật . Con nắm bắt, học được khối lượng kiến thức khổng lồ so với các bạn cùng trang lứa ở các ngôi trường khác.
Phát triển thể chất và tinh thần của các con là điều quan trọng của nhà trường .
Đặc biệt con còn được phát huy năng khiếu về các môn bơi lội, bóng đá( thứ mà rất ít trường có )
Từ một cậu bé nhút nhát, thiếu tự tin. Vậy mà sau 3 năm được các thầy cô khích lệ, nay con đăng kí tham gia ban nhạc, tham gia biểu diễn và các hoạt động của trường rất sôi nổi .
