Serenade Spa Hoi An

Very disappointed. It looks normal and is not dirty, but communication and attitude. I asked for nail polish and foot massage and said twice I don't have much time. I had to wait for quite some time for a lady which could be ok if I had been told. Instead the receptionist only cared about her phone and charger. No smile no sorry. A lady came finally, she started to do a long manicure and when I asked if it was clear I wanted foot massage mainly and only quick polish, it was no English. But she smiled at least. The receptionist was gone, I tried to call and look for her to clarify, just gone. It made no sense I left. I ordered a grab and noticed the receptionist came out when new tourists came. I have experienced a lot of communication problems in Vietnam, but there was no goodwill. I can say nothing about the massage quality obviously.

Terrible, avoid at all costs. I asked for a head massage and instead got 20 minutes of a woman absentmindedly running her thumb over my shin. After realizing she was not going to switch things up any time soon i took the towel off my eyes and sat up to see her sitting on the end of my bed, phone in hand. She jumped and I tried to explain I wanted a head massage so she grudgingly went to my head and pressed on my temples as hard as she could, pulled my hair a bit then went back to running her thumb over my other shin. I waited around because my boyfriend was getting a massage that looked at least somewhat legit and when I finally got to leave, I looked down and saw the woman got massage oil all over my brand new pants, ruining them. We showed the woman running the front desk and she assured us this was fine, oil would easily wash out of cotton pants. Ya right. We argued that we wouldn't pay for the massage and after a while of fighting with her, paid for my boyfriend's massage and left. Time, money, and my new pants wasted. Do not go.
