Friendly shoe shop

We discovered this shop on Google from a blog post and were very pleased. My husband and I ordered a pair of shoes each initially. We got measured and got to customize what we wanted done to our shoes. We came back 24 hours later for our fittings and only one small thing needed changed on my shoes. At this fitting I added on another pair of shoes and they had them done 6 hours later. Those didn't fit quite right and we were leaving town so they offered to ship them to Hanoi. I should be receiving them next week, I will update my review once I do. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality of the shoe and all the friendly ladies at The Friendly Shoe Shop!

Got 3 pairs of shoes here, staff was great! Not super cheap, but for the quality it's significantly better than US. 2 pairs were good to go right away, 1 pair needed a small adjustment, 24 turnaround for everything!

I bought the best leather jacket I've ever owned! They are on top of their game with customer service!

A year after having the jacket, my zipper malfunctioned. I messaged the owner to see if I could pay to send it to them in Hoi An and fix it. (I live in Hanoi) She surprised me and said I wouldn't have to pay her anything. She will have her courier pick it up and they will fix it for free.

She takes such pride in her business and products. I've had an amazing experience at the Friendly Shoe Shop. I hope to come back to have some boots made. 🥾🥾

I’ve bought about 15 pairs of shoes (heels, flats, wedges) from the Friendly Shoe Shop, over the past few years and have always left happy as a chipmunk. I have petite feet and it’s been shoe heaven being able to get high fashion designs (of course they cater to all sizes). The staff, as the name of the store suggests, have been incredibly friendly and focused on long term client relationship building (a testament to this is that I was refunded the cost of a pair wedges when, after a few attempts, they did not fit). The owner has exceptional business acumen, focuses on customer satisfaction and has a keen eye for fashion. Bonus: They’ve now started tailoring as well. I’ve made a few items and they are a perfect fit. I would highly recommend the store to anyone who loves shoes and clothes!

I want to thank Ly for her patience and great customer service. I had a pair of custom boots made to order. I took my time looking through many samples, including one that was brought to the shop from the workshop by motorbike, before I made a final decision. They were made quickly, and I am VERY happy with the final result!!

Truly customised shoes! I have a significant leg length difference and also my right foot is slightly shorter. Friendly shoe shop made my first summer footwear ever, I’m so happy and grateful.

The quality is really high, but remember to restrain yourself from wearing your shoes for a while so the glue can set in properly.

One from my flip flops fell apart but the guarantee service was really quick. They fixed it right back. It’s been a month and I haven’t had issues ever since.

Overall, I had a great experience and can’t wait to came back to make even more pairs.

I bought a pair of boots in april 2023. The service was without reproach, they immidiately knew what I was looking for, I choose a model from samples in the store, we made adjustments according to my wishes (heel height, leather sole), they advised on the type of leather and even gave me a bottle of watter since the heat was about to do me in. I had a fitting the next day, and one day later they sent the boots to my hostel in Hanoi (free), since I had to move on. 130$. I had been wearing them for 8 months for my line dance clases. They are soft, comfortable, fit perfectly and keep shape. Love them. I am thinking of ordering another pair.

I read a lot of good reviews so this was the first (and as it turns out only) shoe shop I visited. I went for some dress shoes for work, but finding that all their products are tailor made for your feet I ended up with one black pair of dress shoes, one lovely burgundy pair of double monk shoes and finally a pair of boots as well.

They did warn me to not wear them for at least four days to allow the glue to cure. I also had a couple fittings to get them just right. Total time was two days for all three pairs.

They fit like a glove. The construction is brilliant: glued, nailed and stitched. The leather is good quality, but I would recommend getting a good leather conditioner and polish (and some shoe trees) before wearing them.

I got made a custom leather pair of high heels made within 24 hrs and they are perfect! Was served by Hong who was very professional, knowledgeable and made me the perfect pair of shoes. Could not recommend more!!

The service was great... welcoming and helpful. I ordered 1 pair of sandles and showed a pair of my favourite flat shoes, which were not leather and had stretched and worn quickly... what a great job... the fit is perfect for my wide foot and the cut across my toes... so much better, love them !!! I really liked my sandles, so ordered a 2nd pair in blue, when getting my fitting... I walked away with 3 pairs of shoes, all leather, for a great price !!!
I even arranged a Private car, from Hoi An to Ba Na Hills, with The Friendly Shoe shop... only 900,000VND return for 8hrs full day.

Amazing quick service. Beautiful shoes. I also got measured for boots for next year. Your measurements are kept so you can order whenever you like. Loved the non pushy staff.

Good experience at the custom tailor where I was able to have shoes with the piece of leather that I liked.
The service was very fast: order placed in the morning, sandals available the next afternoon.
Prices are reasonable compared to the quality you get. I’ll come back !

Very helpful staff and very willing to work with you to get what you want. Also they do not try to sell you stuff you don’t want-willing to tell you “no I can’t do that.” Recommend going here for a more relaxing shopping vibe than other custom places.

I had high healed boots custom made. My friend had a leather jacket custom made. We found the staff friendly and happy in their job. We met the owner of this particular shop, such an honest and inspirational lady. We are extremely happy with everything regarding this business. I’ll definitely be back for the leather jacket :)

This shop has beautiful leather shoes and sandals and very friendly staff. I came to them for a shoe repair - my walking sandals were damaged with a bad scuff to the inside sole from cycling and were the only pair I had with me whilst traveling. They really kindly glued the sandal to repair for me, free of charge. Despite several attempts, the staff wouldn't even accept a tip for their kind help (as they said it was a very small repair) but I was very grateful.

I had shoes made here 3 years ago and I love them still! I got 2 pair of all leather boots & a pair of sandals. The fit is so much better than store bought. I had the rubber heals replaced on all three since (very inexpensive) but the actual shoes, including leather soles, are still doing great. If you live in a cold place where they use salt on the ice just be sure to clean them often with a leather conditioner so avoid salt stains.

I got 3 great pairs of shoes! 1 dress, 1 pair of boots, and another business casual pair for work. I’ve loved them all and when I had a small issue, I had no issues using the warranty to cover the repair cost. Thanks Thông! I would recommend her and the team to anyone visiting Hoi An!

The ladies running this shop were incredibly helpful and considerate! They made the entire process (24 hr turn around) stress free and convenient.
The boots themselves fit perfect and seem very well made! They provide a 6 month and free shipping warranty. I'm thinking about ordering another pair!

Very nice place, I am super happy with my made-to-measure shoes in my choice of leather! Liked them so much that I got a matching leather belt as well. And their guarantee policies are superb - if you don't like the shoe, you don't pay - simple as that and an example of excellent customer service! But trust me, you'll certainly want the shoes because they will make sure that they fit 100%!
