Nhu Bau Restaurant on Tripadvisor

Arrived late and checked in at Sunrise Resort, this restaurant is just across the street. Comfortable food here, fresh seafood owned by a family. Very friendly grandpa who teach you how to eat the dishes. Reasonable price but also have fresh seafood like lobster available for about vdn2,300,000/kg. They don’t have a tank... if you want lobster the restaurant owner will call their supplier and get it for you and weight it at their restaurant.

Directly across the road from Sunrise Resort sits a quaint traditional family owned Vietnamese restaurant offering great tasting cuisine with a adequate menu and cold beverages, also offering cooking classes for those of you wanting to learn new cooking skills and fishing ventures with Phi. Even though we were staying at the resort we found ourselves dining at Nhu Bau often mostly because the service, food and local hostility was exceptional. Be sure to come and say hi to Anh and her family soon.

Good food. Very traditional authentic Vietnamese cooking. Much better than the dishes served in our 5 star resort. You must have a little patience though. A fair trade for nice slow food. Recommended: The seafood hotpot, stir fried morning glory in garlic (off the menu), Fish in hotpot and the bbq redsnapper.

Great little family restaurant in hoi an! Had to walk past a few seafood restaurants trying to solicit our business on the way there and very glad we chose như báu. Pork spring rolls are great, as are the local dishes cau Lau and the chicken rice. They also have a happy hour until 9pm with 2 for 1 drinks.

Great Great place for a family dinner! The food is tasty and fresh served. The local dishes are most tasty and interesting. Vegan food is available and the “light” alcoholic drinks are great.
The family who runs the place are most kind. One should remember that they starts to make the food after reservation made, so it takes some time to have the food, but it’s worth it!

We have eaten at this restaurant twice already during our holiday in the Sunrise Premium Resort, which is literally just across the road.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is really good.

We love the Hoi An spring rolls. The pork in lemon grass and five spice is excellent too.

A G&T is about US$2 and a large local beer is US50c. The starters and main courses are from US$2, which is great value.

The hotel warns you that eating outside the hotel is risky. Don't believe them. It is a quarter of the price.

Hands down the best Pho soup I had in Vietnam. Lot of greens, lot of flavor. They also have great sea food. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is run by Fi and his family. They are very welcoming and I'm always looking forward to come back again :)

This family owned restaurant is so lovely and the people are so welcoming! The food is amazing and so cheap! Amazing what you can get for the prices here in Vietnam! Sunrise resort food and drink prices are so much more then the local places so I recommend going here if you’re staying across the road!

Honestly the best food I have had in Hoi Ann, the food is super fresh and beats the busy and bustling crowds in Hoi Ann old city. Not to mention the super friendly staff greeting you with hand shakes and kind faces. Highly recommend and dishes are slower as they are being cooked fresh. Coming back tomorrow night.

Amazing food! The BBQ scallops and sweet and sour pork are delicious as well as the pho bo and pho ga. Our absolute most favorite meal during our stay in Hoi An. The family who owns the restaurant is wonderful. As a small, family owned restaurant, they make the food fresh, but the wait isn’t too long, and they let you know from the start. Totally worth any wait. We are only sad we didn’t get to eat here until our last night!

We had pho ga, pho bo, and pork spring rolls. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! They have a happy hour with buy one get one free beers as well. Family-owned, so friendly. Will definitely try the seafood next time. Highly recommended!!

Best meal we have had in Hoi an, the bbq scallops were amazing. We also had fried soft noodles with shrimp and Hanoi pork deep fried spring rolls 😍😍. Last but not least was the grilled prawns with salt and chilli sauce wer to die for. The staff could not be more welcoming or friendly excelllent service xxx

You must try!!! What a great food. Prawns, squids, scallops... amazing taste. The best seafood ever. I hope we will visit Nhu Bau again in future. :) Really enjoyed and recommend to you.

Beautiful food in sleepy Hoi An - we stayed across the road at the Sunrise Hotel and thought we should go across the road to support the locals.
The service was amazing, quick and super friendly. We fell inlove with this family run business.
Will be sure to go back before we head back to Melbourne.

A little gem of a place in hoi an. The family who run it are the most beautiful people. So willing to please. Food is exquisite. All freshly cooked and tastes devine. If you're in hoi an, pay them a visit. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended 100 out of 100 stars 😍😍

Nice and clean place close to the beach, where the traditional and local food specilaties meat great service. That was definitely the best food we've tried in Hoi An.
