Not sure if this is the shop, but somewhere at the end of this street, there’s a lady with beautifully made and hand painted lanterns. Go and pay her a visit.

So many lantern shops in Hoi An, but make sure you have a look at this one - after wandering the streets for a few days we found the lanterns here had better quality than many others-well finished with timber fully painted (some just paint the external parts)

Hoi An, Quang Nam province is my favourite local place. It’s an ancient town. it’s easy to fly from HCMC to Danang, then take bus or taxi (250k VND) to there. Enjoy local food & vibes.

More expensive then the other shops but higher quality artistic paintings on the lanterns. Many other manufacturers just use pre painted linen.
