Amazing service and so much fun with Dau and the girls at A Dong. My husband ordered a 3 piece suit with 3 shirts all perfectly fitted first try. I ordered another dress when I was getting fitted for the first one and it was finished at the end of the same day. Got the fit just right. Not much bargaining here but worth it. No hassles and great work.

Really, really satisfied with A Dong Silk! I was looking to get a suit made while in Hoi An, found this tailor and the feeling was great from the get-go. The fabrics are high quality, adjustments after the fittings (three in total) were no problem at all and during the whole process I received very good advice regarding my fit and style. I decided to also add two custom made button-up shirts and my girlfriend got a dress made as well. Nga -who tailored my clothing- was very sweet and accommodating. The prices can be found on their website and were clear from the start; there were no hidden costs, nor did I ever felt pressured towards more purchases. Oh, and all this was done in under 48hrs, from first meeting to finished product. All in all: if you're in Hoi An and looking for custom clothing, this is the place! We bought in a pair of trousers and a summer dress. A Dong Silk did a brilliant job, within 24 hours, making 2 pairs of men’s winter trousers and 1 summer dress (exact replica) & a winter version. We have used A Dong Silk twice: first in 2015 and then in July, 2023. Both times, the experience was wonderful. Their selection of fabrics is extensive and high quality. The staff are knowledgeable and make the entire experience fun. And the tailors themselves do first rate work. My daughters ordered several dresses, as well as slacks and blouses. They were all perfect. If you are visiting Hoi An, don’t miss this experience. And let your imagination run wild: they can make outfits from pictures, copy a favorite garment, or just from your description. You will end up with perfectly fitting clothes at less cost than off the rack back home.

I shopped around to more than a dozen tailors of all sizes in Hoi An and finally settled on A Dong Silk to create a blue blazer and slacks for me while I was in Hoi An. One of the reasons I chose A Dong Silk is because they have an online ordering platform so when I get back to the States I can customize and order additional garments without having to come back to Vietnam.

One of their stylists/sales women, Suong, greeted me on night 1 as I was browsing their store and she showed me various fabrics and styles but I was too tired from traveling for so long to get to Vietnam from the USA and not ready to order yet, so she gave me her WhatsApp contact info. I messaged her the next morning, and she came into the store on her day off to help me again. We picked the fabric for the suit coat and slacks and then talked about all the different customization options. I strongly encourage someone looking for a custom suit to do their research on all the various choices you have in the customization process before you go to the store because it can be overwhelming to face so many choices blindly. I had a basic idea of what I wanted, but Suong was helpful in making the final suggestions on customizations that I was still not decided on. For example, on the blazer I could not decide on whether I wanted a surgeon's cuff or between the pockets straight or slanted, and she helped me choose both. After she drew out what I wanted the garments to look like, she took my measurements, collected a 50% deposit and I was on my way for the day.

Suong asked me how long I would be in Hoi An so she could schedule enough time with the tailor. I was fortunate that I had an open-ended schedule in Hoi An and could come back as often as I needed and did not rush the tailoring experience. Some other stores have their tailors onsite and you could see them work. A Dong Silk does not but it really did not matter since all the changes were done very quickly.

I came back the next afternoon for my first fitting and she helped with suggestions on improving the fitting and I had several suggestions myself. The changes could have been done the same day, but I opted to come back the following afternoon instead when the original changes were completed and we chose the finishing touches on the garments such as button selection and thread color. Again, those final touches could have been completed more rapidly but I chose to come back the following day for the final time to try on the completed garments and pay the final 50% balance.

A Dong Silk is keeping my measurements on file so that once I get back home I can use their online design tool to create additional pieces. Thanks again to Suong and the team at A Dong Silk in Hoi An.

The very lovely Diem helped me make two beautiful jackets and a shirt out of some wonderful material. The cut of all the items was excellent.

They are not the cheapest but the quality of the service, the wide selection of wonderful fabrics makes them easy to highly recommend.

It was New Years Eve and the town was packed. The Dong team obviously worked extremely long hours and were still all super smiley and helpful while producing excellent results.

As with all things like this, the team will guide you as to what will and will not work well but try to have some idea, preferably with photos of what you want.

We had such a great time at A Dong Silk! Nga looked after me, she was very skilled and attentive, but also really funny and warm and made our experience so fun. We had a wide range of clothing made (dresses, skirts, shorts, tops, suit and shirts - men's and women's), and they all fit beautifully and the quality is AMAZING for the price we paid, and the turn-around was unbelievably quick. Before I arrived in Hoi An I was a bit nervous about how the process would go, but the team made it so fun and straight forward, I didn't need to worry at all. Nothing was too much for this team, I can't recommend them enough!

A Dong were amazing. They had better fabric choices than other tailors and the quality is very reliable. If you go, ask for Đào - she is very friendly and was so good at the measurements I didn’t need any adjustments! My suit is great and they helped me ship it to Aus :)

What a brilliant business to get a suit tailored at. I got a cashmere suit, 2 shirts and 2 ties tailored here, total $225. Money very well spent, had several alterations, nothing was too much work, great service by Van and the team. Will be back!

I have had two suits delivered from A Dong Silk. In both cases, they were delivered within two weeks after ordering.
The quality is good, and lots of choices, for someone like me who finds it hard to find the correct jacket fit, especially arm length, custom made is a lot better, but very hard to get at a reasonable price from the UK.

If I went to Vietnam I would get a measure up done, and then order additionals when needed using the measures they give, but online ordering using self-measure has given me good results.

got silk dresses made at 2 places in ha noi and A Dong silk’s quality is superior. i was looking for silk crepe fabric was only able to find it here after going to a handful places. the dresses came out almost perfectly the first time but they did some small adjustments after a fitting to make it just right. would definitely come back

I highly recommend asking for Van at A Dong Silk! She was super helpful and knowledgeable. We had > 10 suits made for a wedding in Canada and she made the whole experience so easy for us, including shipment to Canada!

Had fantastic experience with our salesperson Dong. She was super patient and friendly and worked with us until we were 100% satisfied. We bought shirts, suit, tuxedos and jackets. My son and I were very happy with the results and the process. A Dong is not the cheapest by any stretch but you get what you pay for in terms of quality and experience. We highly recommend them!!

Awesome store with awesome people. My wife and I bought a total of 3 tailor-made suits and 3 men's button up shirts. The ladies were very nice and fun to work with. Suit quality are very good and very quick. Further alterations are fixed within the day as well.

Service was really good and had lot of laughs with the staff. One staff, named Le, offered me a free tie which I forgot to pick out. Le was kind enough to drop it off to me at my hotel. Highly recommend!
