Dung - Mini Quail Egg Pancake

This local dish was really difficult to find and this was the 3rd stall we tried and was paid off for our efforts. We absolutely loved the Banh can that we got here. Initially only intending to get one plate, we could not resist ordering another. The quail egg pancake was delicious and had so much texture. The owner even taught us how to eat it by mixing in the fish sauce. Do add this to your list of food to try in HoiAn. You won’t regret it.

A small street restaurant with all the big flavours. Possibly one of my favourite dishes in Vietnam (banh canh). Run by the same family for approx 25 years. Fresh fried quails eggs, shredded mango salad topped with a pork sausage, add the fish sauce and some chilli, to taste, and prepare for a taste explosion. Can’t wait to go back before we leave Hoi An. (Brought here on a food tour by Moon, she is amazing (Moon Travel Tours). Opposite Starbucks.

I was not hungry or looking to eat anything but the owner’s smile and friendly demeanor pulled me in. As a tourist, I didn’t know what to expect but I was surprised by their tasty food.

So delcuous vietnamese egg pancakes. The lady has her own small factory next to the road and is mass producing this banh can trung cut. Inside the pancakes it is quail eggs, one serving is about 5 pancakes, they get served with different herbs and salad, and a chili jam or sweet chili sauce, and a piece of ham! All of this for only 20k. Super recommended, delicious food, clean and hygienic, friendly owners!

Fantastic vietnamese food stall that serves fried quail eggs with veggies and some other stuff that I cannot name but tastes delicious 😋 go and share some love with the lovely auntie.

Don’t miss out on this delicious local speciality: tasty drops of dough deep fried with greens and fish sauce. Extra Tip: don’t miss the ice tea and dessert that are self-served across the “kitchen”. We are very pleased that we stumbled across this little restaurant, actually there's about 3 of them in a row and you sit wherever there is space. We've been here several times now, and have really enjoyed every dish. You get fruit automatically given to you for dessert - in our case passion fruit.The owners are very friendly and helpful. There is usually one of the restaurants open for breakfast too. The prices are very reasonable, and in our opinion, it is excellent value for money.

Honestly so delicious. I would go back to Vietnam just to eat this again. Me and my partner went multiple times while we were in Hoi An. The owner was so lovely and we have no problem ordering despite the language barrier

Cô Dung là người đầu tiên bán món bánh Căn ở Hội An. Vì vậy mà cô Dung có một lượng lớn khách hàng thân quen đều đặn mỗi ngày. Vậy cũng đủ hiểu là độ ngon như thế nào rồi nha 🙂. Ngoài ra thì còn hợp vệ sinh, dụng cụ sạch sẽ, rau tươi, sạch.
Có 2 lựa chọn là bánh Căn có trứng Cút và không có trứng Cút.
Đặc biệt là có kèm thêm chả, nem và trưởi. Trưởi thì mình ăn nhìu chỗ rồi mà Trưởi ở đây ngon nhất nha mọi người! 😊

Ăn lâu rồi giờ mới review, bánh ăn kèm đu đủ ngâm chua với nước mắm ngọt + rau sống khá hợp vị. Good !

Thấy quán cơ nhiều người địa phương ghé vào nên cũng tò mò vào thử và thấy đúng là rất ổn(có thể lúc đó do mình đói nữa). Dì bán hàng dễ thương, bánh căn ngon. Nếu ai chưa biết gọi gì thì gọi một đĩa thập cẩm/lộn xộn( mình thấy mọi người trong đó gọi " cho một đĩa lộn xộn"). Dì bảo chỉ bán đến 7-8h, quán lại gần Madam Khanh nữa nên các bạn cứ mạnh dạn làm một đĩa bánh ở đây rồi quay ra ăn một cái bánh mì nữa là vừa no.

Món này chưa ăn bao giờ nên mình cũng không biết so sánh với những chỗ khác thì thế nào. Cơ mà bản thân thấy dễ ăn, không ngấy, khá là ok.

Bánh căn giòn, đồ chua ăn kèm ngon, giá cả hợp lý.
