Honestly the best food so far on my trip.. Taste so fresh and easy dish was just mouth watering. They do set menus for around 250k which we actually thought it was for the price of one item but we were amazed to be told that’s for 4 dishes!!!

The themed restaurant is really cute and been thought out well, the attention to detail is nothing like we have seen so fair in Vietnam.

The waiter was attentive and very knowledgable with the detail he lets his customer know what they are eating and what the ingredients are.

We will certain be visiting thai place on a number of times before we leave!

JUST WOW ❤

Very yummy food at a lovely athmosphere.. we didnt try the cooking class but the a la carte menu was amazing. I had the red snapper in clay pot and my boyfriend had the pork chop wraps they were both very delicious. Also 2 starters were very good.. Desserts were not very special but considering the other courses and the price, this place is definitely worthwhile to visit.

We followed the recommendations all over the internet but before booking the cooking course, we went to have a dinner there first.
We got lucky, as we got the last available table. Don't be mistaken by the tables around. The number of seats is limited to few since this is a true home Vietnamese cooking, and they prefer quality over quantity. In order to prevent you from waiting long for the food, they would rather have fewer guests and give them the full attention.

As for the food, I'm not easy giving 5 stars, but this place definitely deserve it. Hands down, it was one of the best Vietnamese food we had on our trip. The fried spring rolls, nem, were the best we had so far. Not oily and extremely surprisingly soft. The green Papaya salad is also a must to try.

So after the amazing dinner we had no hesitation to book the course, where we got really an insider insight of hoi an special kitchen and the Chinese influences on it. The courses are done in a small groups 2-4 people, which makes it even better and easier to learn.

Highly recommended if you want to know more about Vietnamese kitchen in general and hoi an cooking in particular

You can't really miss this if you walk along the road. A nice decorated garden with at lot of atmosphere. Mamma's offers set menu's and an a'la Carte menu. It says in the menu they serve mainly organic produce from a local farmer and all is washed in safe mineral water. Food is absolutely spot on. Tasty fresh and good quality.

We have had dinner five times in Vietnam, and this has been the most rewarding by far. If you are looking for something tasty, authentic, beautifully presented with a friendly and attentive service, this is the place to go. And very reasonably priced, too. We can strongly recommend their four-course dinner for only 10 dollars.

Wonderfully tasty food (had the seafood), and the owner is very helpful, letting us know how to eat what (Vietnamese food should always come with instructions!). At first the limited menu was a bit weird, but then I remembered some other places with a 50 page menu and decided I liked not having too many options. In the end the food was absolutely tasty, and the setting wonderful.

2 of us took the 4 PM class. We cycled to market to get some veggies and then back to Mamma's to start cooking. So fun. Chef was raised in Hoi An and was patient with us and we learned lots. His English was perfect. So much food we're going back for our seafood and dessert tomorrow. Love the garden atmosphere. I'd highly recommend this class.

Mamma’s offers a genuine Vietnamese dining experience - and the opportunity to learn how to make it yourself

Come here for food - a very reasonably priced set menu (chose between 4 different ones) or for the cooking class, together with the founder/head chef.

You will learn how to cook with local ingredients and also how to adapt the recipes to your local ingredients with clever substitutions. Mr Yu will also send you home with detailed recipes with pictures and even videos reminding you how to prepare a number of dishes - 15 or 25 I think.

Really cosy setting and a lot of nice things to look at while you are eating.

Highly recommended!

Adorable outdoor setting, very attentive service. Set menu each was a bit much for two skinny white boys but loved every bite. Definitely recommend mamma's special drink!

Amazing Vietnamese food, best we have had in the country so far. Lots of options and the mojitos were amazing. More expensive than budget restaurants but definitely worth it.

Cozy place with a lot of nice details. They "only" offer 4 different 4-course menus, but therefore they really know what they are doing. Staff is very nice, the food is fresh and very good. Best taste we had in Hoi An.
