Gem Riverside Hotel Hoi An

The location was excellent - 10 minute walk if that into old town with option for free push bikes. The staff were super friendly and could not help us out enough, even arranging our travel to the airport. The room was spacious, well equipped and the bathroom was luxurious, made by the large bath. Room service daily with fresh towels and the option for a clean - which we did not go for as not our style. Fresh water delivered for free. Our balcony was lovely overlooking the pool which was large, well maintained and great fun to swim in. The hotel was very clean throughout, quiet and all guests seemed to be enjoying themselves! Our expectations were easily supersuceeded.

Pretty good hotel to be honest. Location but off the area a bit which is fine, a bit of a walk but it’s fine. Staff very friendly and nice willing to answer any questions. I arrived a bit early, I asked if I could check in early so I could shower etc. I end up paying a bit to upgrade my room since. Not much going on around there since it’s a bit off the main attraction. Overall very good hotel! I wish there was some activities or something.

Located a short 8 min walk from Old Town, the Gem was the perfect place for our family. The staff treated us like old friends and made sure we were well looked after - from recommendations, arranging day trips, laundry service and helpful tips to better our stay, they did it all. In particular, Ruby at the front desk was special but every staff person went out of their way to help. Highly recommend!

Really lovely place to stay in Hoi An. The staff here are very welcoming and always ready to provide help and info regarding the area. They were happy to arrange taxis to / from Da Nang for us which were affordable as well. Rooms are simple but perfect for a short stay to visit the town. The property is close enough to the old town but away from the crowds and noise.

I recently stayed at the Gem Riverside Hotel who truly went above and beyond to make me comfortable. The hotel is located close to everything, but it is also quietly tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The breakfast was nice, the pool was inviting, and the rooms were spacious. The wifi was also exceptional, which was useful for my work. The icing on the cake was the free bicycle they provided. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, it was truly a fantastic experience.

Tucked away from the main river, this place was serene, and comfortable! Their free bikes make it quick and easy to reach the Old Quarters, where all the to do activities take place. It has the feel of a resort. Relatively newly established hotel, very clean and free of insects such as mosquitoes, despite being next to a river.
Best of all is their warmest, dutiful, and honest staff, each and every one of them! They arranged for me the airport transport to hotel, then also from hotel to Da Nang city where I'd booked a one-night stay after. I'll be sure to return to Hoi An again, and I will stay at the Gem Riverside Hotel!

I will start my review with Lily, her service was spectacular!! She was a really really big help to me with transportation, hot spots in danang and recommendations. I thank her big time for my trip as she made everything so easy.

I also would recommend Gem Riverside Hotel's transportation service, the driver was so friendly and helpful, he also picked me up from the airport to the hotel and around Danang.

Besides that, this hotel was the most comfortable. I slept right away and I love the unique design and atmostphere. Also, they offer bikes for us to enjoy the ride a long the river and the location is so close to Hoi An. Hotels like this makes time with family more intimate.

Again, I couldn't help but thank Lily so so much for her service, her help and her guidance ❤❤❤ much love to you Lily!

Great location just a step away from the hustle and bustle of the market and the city center.
The employees are very friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely stay at Gem Riverside. Lilly and her staff were super helpful and friendly.
A beautiful set up with pool and outdoor seating. Also away from the chaos of the busy town centre.

Stayed here in 2020 and have returned post covid.

Wonderful place just over the bridge from the old town which is perfect as it is only a short walk in to town or you can use many of the free cycles they have and ride in.

The staff are some of the best i have met in Vietnam, very attentive but not intrusive.

The rooms are very spacious with a good size balcony over looking the swimming pool. Excellent air-con, extremely comfy bed and a good range of english channels for a relaxing night in.
Bathroom is well equipped with a powerful rainforest shower and plenty of hot water. They also provide an adequate breakfast to kick start your day.

Lovely swimming pool that gets the sun most of the day with plenty of sun loungers.

All in all a wonderful stay and great value for money, will definately return when in Hoi An.

**note on all the people giving 1 stars due to covid-19. When you book through 3rd parties like agoda, etc they are the ones that keep your money not the hotel. Onto the review.

Really great hotel here. Good beds and pillows. Clean room. Quiet out of the way location but close to everything. They have bicycles. Close to hoi an memories island and old Town. Staff was very friendly and spoke English well. Rooms have AC and if you're on the top floor towards the end of the building you get a good sunrise or sunset. Would stay here a again.

Prior to arriving we stayed at a 5 star hotel in da nang Beach front. The bathroom/tub was very awkward, uncomfortable beds. So this hotel was a nice change.

In a quieter part of town with very little through traffic, a few floors of spacious rooms surrounding a reasonable pool. The staff are friendly and helpful, the building clean and attractive, the price is decent.

Fabulous stay!! Loved our time at Gem Riverside, would book again!

This place is relatively new and was apparently very vibrant pre-covid. When we were there, there were very few guests - in fact we felt like we were the only ones there. We didn’t mind at all as it was peaceful. We were served breakfast a la carte at a time we specified. The staff worked double time to keep the place running and we saw everyone work hard cleaning the grounds, our room, the pool etc to keep it attractive during the off season. The rooms were modern, spacious and maintained. If it were not for the top-notch staff, it might have felt “underwhelming”. Especially Ruby - the booking manager who wore many hats - was an outstanding hostess and ambassador. We wish to thank her and her staff for making Gem Riverside our home away from home for our six-day stay.

A beautiful, clean and super friendly place to stay. Pool is awesome

Hotel is almost brand new, and the room is large. Most of the rooms have nice view of the river. The pool is good size that you can actually swim. Breakfast last till 10AM for those like to stay up late and the selection is plentyful. The best part is the staff, from reception to waitress to concierge, everyone is very friendly and willing to help. Free bicycle is also a big plus. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel situated just close enough to old quarter for comfort but not noise. Easy walk to market and river . Clean rooms with good service throughout. Breakfast is basic and get there early , to beat the rush. Plenty of choice though. Swimming pool area nice , the sun goes round in the afternoon so its shady after two pm. Hotel has jalopy bicycles to use . Staff very attentive and polite. It's perfect for my pocket and seems popular with all nationalities and locals .

We stayed here for 24 nights , breakfast was great , I had asked for yougurt ever morning they would have one for me , the rooms are very comfortable the beds and pillows where great the air conditioning works well , the pool is very nice , the staff are amazing, the size of rooms are a nice size , and bathroom is a nice size , perfect , we would differently come back ,

We booked 4 nights in this beautiful hotel. It just opened so everything is new and very clean. The staff is so friendly and keen on helping you with everything. We really enjoyed the pool and our spacious room with nice balcony and very comfortable beds!
It's on an island next to hoi ans old town, so you have to walk a little bit, but it's not really far. Altogether we would definitely recommend you to stay here!
