Le Ba Dang Art Museum

New destination for me. I learned a lot of thing about artist. I have respect for him & art-space. Highly recommended when you visit Hue.

Incredible art in a bite-sized chunk. Taking you through the work of only one artist, Vietnamese-French Le Ba Dang, we were impressed by his work. We are particularly thrilled by the Ho Chi Minh Trail works.

Lovely collection of art by various artists in an old French Colonial type building. The entrance fee was only £1.

Really, really great museum. The pieces on display are fascinating. I enjoyed this place much more than any of the museums in Hanoi and Saigon. Le Ba Dang had many different talents from sculpting, abstract painting, developing his own printing methods. The tour is finished in a very nice way. Wait for the end on the upper floor

A must to visit in Hue. His art is harmonious and sensitivity yet free style. Truly a great talent.

Beautiful riverside building dedicated as a museum to the life and works of Vietnam's greatest artist, Le Ba Dang who died in 2015. The building makes an ideal showcase for an interesting and diverse cross-section of the artists 2 and 3 dimensional work, and includes photographs, notes and memorabilia from his life mainly in Paris, France. An audio-video documentary including many interviews with him is screened continuously in a small theatre and makes entertaining and enlightening viewing.
There is a 30,000d admission fee which is excellent value. I ended up spending an hour and three-quarters here completely fascinated. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in the arts, cultural history of Vietnam or whoever just likes looking at truly inspiring paintings and sculptures.

How to better understand this great too unknown artist, exiled in France before WWII, who translated with such sensitivity and artistic realism the repeated scares of Vietnam war among its population, than to spend time in this splendid French house. Artist's works sent you an emotional blast, as he is so great in his art!
Unhappily, information about history and artist's context are deeply lacking, and the light in this ward isn't made for such exhibition where shadows are playing on the canvas.
Not many people during my 2hours visit (unhappily but so quiet!). Just near, is the Art museum with another great, great artist, Mrs Diem Phung Thi, don't miss her, astonishing, and more!

Nice place to visit

Very beautiful installations.Do not miss the video, and talk to the employees who knew him. Elegant palace, but above all Le Ba Dang was really a great one.

De Ba Dang seemed like such an interesting artist and person. Hue is lucky to have his foundation here. Make sure to watch the short movie clip!

The art is unique, and interesting.
