Le Gecko Café

This Cafe is located in the happening place of Sa Pa. It is usually said to be the meeting point for most tourists.

The cafe is open from 6:30am early in the morning. And the food offered here is mostly English and French. There are hardly any local food options here.

The atmosphere and the ambiance here is great and one can spend quite some time here with a coffee/food.

This Cafe sometimes gets full really fast and the staff here are friendly and welcoming. The cost is quite reasonable and is slightly above the usual margin we see elsewhere, but it is worth the quantity and quality.

at this cafe i felt like parisian. enjoy smoking outside, see people around, enjoy coffee. all the food i order here was delicious. try the soup, really matched with the weather.

Location right in the center of Sapa. Suitable if you are waiting for a bus, you can stay here to drink coffee, watch the street and wait for the bus. Although the street is quite noisy outside, inside the shop I don't pay much attention to the noise and work quite focused, perhaps due to the gentle music. The food and drinks are delicious and beautifully presented. Friendly, enthusiastic, cute staff. Reasonable price.

Really loved the milkshakes and the staff was extremely friendly. The pizzas are different than in Italy or Europe in general (less tomato sauce than what I'm used to), but still really good! Can't complain.

Beautiful spot in Sapa - great for people watching! Their egg coffee is one of the best in Vietnam. Not too sweet and nice thick custard on top. Good English too

If you are a dessert person, don’t miss this place. The hot coconut coffee was excellent and the banana crepe was so good.

We love the caring matter and attitude of the owner and the staff. 1st yime visit, my pot of tea ran out of water and they asked if we wanted it to be refilled. 2nd visit, I paid by bank transfer and wasnt successful, I then paid by cash. The next day, the bank messaged me that it was successful, I came to the shop to explain the situation and they returned cash for me at once without any nuisance. I was so glad with their service.

Really enjoyed our experience here. Stopped by just for a drink but got hungry smelling the food around us.

Loads of options for food and for drinks. Hot, cold - Vietnamese, western. Something for everyone.

Our food was a great choice. Both having grilled chicken, one with mushrooms the other with peppers. Both came with a side of rice. Presentation was interesting but the meals themselves were very flavourful and hot the spot for both of us! Big portions too so if you’re hungry you are covered!

Nice family atmosphere. A few families with kids in there but nothing was too noisy.

Staff are super friendly with very good understanding of English and speaking too.

Really lovely pub looking restaurant.. nice reminder of home after months of travelling. We came for dinner and the food was real nice - recommend the sticky rice in the bamboo shoot and the soups were really delicious too. Cosy atmosphere for a cold evening 😇Only downside was the pricing but I guess that's what you get for a more classy, Western looking place!

I stopped to look at the menu for later and the dessert/cake stand caught my eye. I had one of the chocolate finger things and it was so rich and delicious. 15k.

We came here for lunch with our traveling group at the recommendation of our local guide. Although he did not take us to where we asked to go, we ended up having a good lunch here.
They have an extensive menu serviced to a more Western palette (think burgers, pasta and fries)... and not that it is bad, it is not what our family would prefer. To each their own.
We ordered their hot plates with different meats served with rice. The dishes are flavorful although, on the expensive side but we paid for the quiet and clean atmosphere of the restaurant. They did not rush us and allowed us to sit and wait for our transportation and came to check on us several times.
Desserts are mediocre and though the kids enjoyed it, we were to fine to skip.
Go for the peace and quiet and away from the rowdy crowds.

The egg coffee was great and the staff were nice. Was hoping to get some views of the lake, but the view is the building across with lights.

Beat western coffee in Sa Pa, we had a sandwich with a ginger tea and a apple pie with a hot chocolate and it couldn’t be better. The staff really friendly and the place so cosy!

Love the 2nd floor of the cafe. Had soup that had cheese & bacon bits. And a claypot dish made of cheese, onions, potatoes which was comforting. The croc monsieur was a regular cheese sandwich. I'd highly recommend this cafe.

I recently dined at LE GECKO and it was a fantastic experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. The service was prompt and friendly, making me feel well-attended to.

The highlight was the food. I had the pumpkin soup which was juicy and flavorful, accompanied by a deliciously creamy mashed potato. For dessert, the apple pie was a real treat - warm, with just the right amount of sweetness.

In summary, LE GECKO offers great food, a pleasant atmosphere, and excellent service. It’s an ideal spot for a casual yet satisfying meal. Highly recommend!

Great pizza and thin homemade bread base was very good. I had the Sapa pizza which has chicken. The Nama chocolate sticks in the front counter are delectable. A few tables outside are nice to sit at for people watching

Nice stop in the city center. Really good spring rolls and juice. I was little bit afraid if they serve Vietnamese food, but they do 👍🏻.

Came back twice to this café cos of their hot Coconut coffee and Egg coffee! Hands down the best coffees I’ve ever had during my trip and is a must try!

One of the best Egg Coffee in town! Love the sweetness touch of the egg foam that complements very well with the lil bitterness of their coffee!

Love how they provide coconut chips to complement well with the coconut coffee which adds the sweetest touch to it! Coconut coffee is excellent and warms the cockles of my heart under the cold and chilly weather of SaPa!

Their Tiramisu and Crème Caramel was okay! It’s very light and suit those who doesn’t like too sweet for their dessert!

Their Passionfruit cake is a must try! The flavour is amazing and very strong! It’s refreshingly sweet and you don’t get tired or sick of eating it! Would definitely love to come back here again if I happen to visit SaPa!
