Lao Chai Valley View

Did a 2 day trek from Sapa, stayed in Victoria Homestay in village - amazing scenery, information and history of the area. So peaceful , so picturesque, guide(s) 1 each day were amazing and so friendly.
Great land to trek.
Would recommend doing in a heart beat.

Lao Chai Valley is beautiful and picturesque definitely worth a visit whilst in Sapa. We did a 10km, 4hrs trekking through the forest and terraced padi field with a guide and 4 Black Hmong ladies tagged along who gave us a helping hand during the walk. They asked us to support their local handmade crafts by purchasing at the end of the walk.

Lao Chai Village is beautiful & deffinatly worth a visit whilst in Sapa! I booked a 6 hr trek through my homestay (Mega View) which supplied a guide, 1x h20 and lunch which was delicious! There was only a group or 6 of us which was lovely and accompanied by a group of H'mong women, dont be fooled though, they will accompany you the whole way, helping you across tricky parts of the path.. and then bombard you with sales right at the end

Went there in late October ❤😀. Hired a local guide and went trekking for 4 hours through the rice terraces. fantastic view. Visited Lao Chai and Ta Van villages.

Incredible view of mountains and a valley full of rice paddies and small villages. Very scenic! Worth the stop!

Forget cat cat village. Come here instead. Its free and more authentic. Amazing views into the valley and from within the valley. This place was the highlight of my visit to sapa!

Very picturesque scenery, challenging but fun trek. Would recommend the guide called mang. However, watch out for the tourist traps where a bunch of people carrying baskets pretend to help you only to charge a ridiculous price for their products at the end of the trek, pestering you to no end. Avoid them st all costs.

Terraced fields are very impressive. The small houses on the hill. The children is playing. A peaceful painting.

Very nice quiet place to walk and enjoy the scenery of the paddy fields, water buffalos and the mountains at the far end.

We were so fascinated by the simplicity and friendliness of the people. Genuinely innocent. They know how to be happy with what they have. The place is filled with beauty and happiness. If you can you must make a visit and be connected to the inner beauty of the people.

I recommend you take a tour with a local guide and hike for a day around the beautiful landscape.
