Lan Anh Spa Massage

Over the years, we have experienced hundreds of massages from Mexico, Bali, Thailand, USA, China and Vietnam. This small shop in Sa Pa was undoubtedly one of the best we have ever encountered.

Located just a block from
Sun Plaza, Lan Anh Spa is one of literally hundreds of massage establishments in the area. After trying a few others, we were fortunate to stop here.

The rooms were clean and well appointed and the ladies were warm, friendly and professional. The price for the massage was very reasonable and actually at the lower end of most of the other shops.

My wife and I both had the 90 minute full body massage. After years of trial and error, I have learned that, regardless the masseuse, 60 minutes is just not enough to give me a complete and satisfactory massage.

At Lan Anh, the masseuse expertly blended a perfect "massage cocktail" through her amazing use of direct pressure points, strong (but not to the point of painful) muscle manipulation and long line, heat inducing rubs to create an exquisite combination of relief, relaxation and rejuvenation for my entire body.

My only regret was not having discovered Lan Anh earlier in our trip. Though I was fortunate enough to get another of these fantastic massages the next day, I still wish I would have discovered Lan Anh on Day 1, rather than Day 3!

We were looking for a place that was clean and had masseurs who could ease our over-strained leg muscles after 2 days of Trekking (5hrs/16km through the highlands and valleys of the Hmong and Dzao Villages) and the walk up n down Fansipan peak.

I described what we went through to the one we spoke to, Linh, and then she and her colleague, Duyen worked on my friend and I.

The room was basic, the massage tables had face holes, the room was standard. 3 tables to a room. Curtains were available (if needed) between tables. Lights remained on full as we started the session

Duyen attended to me. It was spot on. She went straight into the tendons and muscle groups for my legs, starting from the gluten along the way down. It was quite hard massage. I knew I needed to bear with it if I wanted faster recovery.

Duyen seemed to know and could feel the tension muscles all through my legs both front and back.

Despite the excellent focus on the climbing strains in my legs, the upper body and head n shoulders massage was also very outstanding.

I must say this is probably one of the best massages to deal with strained muscles I have had. At VND380,000 (Apr 2023) it certainly beats the higher luxury massages I had the day before (VND550,000) further down the road (see my other review). And another in Hanoi. (All good clean massages.)

My friend and I came here for a foot and body massage and received amazing service. The store owner is very friendly. The masseuse was caring and very strong. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Sa Pa!

Great massage for after a day's trek. Masseuse was tiny but had amazing strength to give my feet great relief (after the initial pain)

Prices very reasonable for being so close to the centre (at time of review 230k for 60min foot massage).

Did a 90 minute full body massage. The masseuse was really strong and made my body ache (in a good way) for a good night's sleep. She understood Chinese so we could communicate adjust the strength accordingly. The facilities were passable and comfortable enough.

On est passés devant dans l’après midi et elle nous a proposé une remise. On est repassés plus tard que prévu et elle a tenu parole. Elles étaient toutes très sympa, c’était incroyable. Je pense que l’on va y retourner demain :).

Strong massage at reasonable price. I did the foot head and shoulder massage.
I just wished the service staff could concentrate on the massage and talk lesser amongst themselves while servicing customers. This will definitely enhance the service standards

I had a 1.5 hour body massage here, after having walked past a few times previously. They are located at a corner right beside sun plaza on the way to Fansipan road/ Cat cat village.

My masseur was a young Tay girl whom had really strong fingers. Unlike Indonesian massage, she started with my head working down to my legs, then on the back and then closing with my shoulders. It was quite painful for me as I had a few tight knots - but I knew it was good.

The downsides were that the back massage was not as good as the Indonesian style, and the hygiene of the shorts and towels were a bit questionable.

Still, I would recommend this place. My masseur was friendly and skillful and I definitely felt more relieved after. I don't know your name, but thank you!

The best hair wash I ever had. My hair feels and smells amazing!

Great foot massage!

Horrible massage. I’ve received top tier massages in different parts of this country and the woman I had today didn’t know what she was doing. It actually put me in a really bad mood because the massage felt insulting. I worried about the hygiene as well since the woman didn’t wash her hands, started massaging scalp and then massaged my face and repeated that sequence.

Any great masseuse knows that you don’t put dirty hands on your clients. Nor do you spread their hair oils on their face. Also the pillow didn’t have a cover and i was expected to put my face on it. I had to ask for a cover…

I’m surprised I even paid for this because it was literally a horrible experience.

I've never seen that, the worst massage of my life I even asked for it to stop, there no one was massaging me and yawning at the same time, it was a child... even I massage better, I wasted my time and money.I put one star because I can’t put 0 star !

마사지 하는 친구들은 미성년 같아 보이고 한국말 영어 절대 못알아듣고 배드에 먼지가 득실득실.. 이마 머리만 한 20분 문지르는듯
팔 조금 깨작하다가 다리만 종일 문지르고 등은 잠깐 하면 마사지 끝남.
사파 첫마사지 때문에 기분 바닥됨..
같이간 일행들 모두 이구동성 비추 비추 비추!
