Bob is an exceptional, English speaking guide. He ensured that everything goes smoothly throughout the entire trip. He has great knowledge of the places and cultures and very forthcoming to share the information.

Solo travelling can get quite bored but Bob made it seem like I was travelling with him, and for that i'm truly grateful and thankful to him.

He brought me to different places with beautiful views and helped to take pretty pictures! Not only is he a great guide, he is a good photographer, too! 🤩

Booked a Sapa tour with Bob, hilarious and very outgoing tour guide.

His English is really good for someone who is self taught and knows a lot about all the tribes and villages in Sapa for an amazing historical lesson! Also a great camera man if needed too haha.

If you need an English speaking guide, Bob is excellent!! 😊 he is easygoing, funny yet meticulous and careful to ensure my family and I have a fantastic time walking along trails in Sapa - Muong Hoa valley, which offers fantastic mountain scenery, local village experience, cool and refreshing, peaceful waterfalls. The local lunch in a village was also good and timely.

Our trip to Ha Giang , Cao Bang was an absolute delight, and much of the credit goes to our wonderful tour guide, Bob. From start to finish, He made sure every aspect of our journey was enjoyable and memorable.
Cao Bang itself is breathtaking, with its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Our journey took us through a tapestry of breathtaking vistas, from the majestic Ban Gioc Waterfall to the serene shores of Ba Be Lake. Bob truly brought the experience to life with his deep knowledge of the region and its history. He shared fascinating insights at every stop, making each moment more meaningful.
Moreover, his friendly and accommodating nature made us feel welcome and cared for throughout the trip. He went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed and that our experience exceeded our expectations. The Birthday party he arranged was so sweet.......
Overall, our trip to Cao Bang was unforgettable, thanks in large part to our exceptional tour guide. We couldn't have asked for a better companion to explore this beautiful region. Highly recommended!

My friend recommended Bob to me when I wanted to look for a guide in Sapa. It was easy communication over WhatsApp and Bob was very responsive. He made sure we boarded the train in Hanoi which he booked for us in advance. When we reached Lao Chai the next day at 6am, he picked us up on time together with a driver who is very friendly as well.

We enjoyed ourselves during our 2D1N tour with Bob. Unfortunately, the cable car to Fansipan was closed for maintenance during this period but Bob did informed us way in advance. It was a nice gesture of him to invite us to his house for dinner but we didn’t want to trouble him.

He is a very good photographer too, which personally I think is very important.. we highly recommend Bob to anyone who want to book a tour in Sapa.

We had amazing time on our walk through villages around Sa Pa. With our amazing tour guide!
We could see locals living their lives, which is quite different from ours.
Also the food was great and very locally sourced.
10/10 Comming back for this tour!

Mr Huy is a very experienced guide in Sapa. I did a day trek from Sapa to TaVan, which was a highlight of my trip.
His English is excellent, and he was very good explaining about local culture and sharing stories of Vietnamese life.
I am hoping to do another day and will make sure I arrange an extended trip to explore more mountain areas in the September rice harvest season next time.

Bob has been the best tour guide - our trip wouldn’t have been the same without him. He helped us so much before our trip to organise everything (transfers and accommodation) and he was always so quick to reply to any questions or concerns that we had. He has fantastic English and he’s such a funny, kind and generous person.

Over our 4 days we didn’t have to worry about anything as Bob arranged everything from food to accommodation to the activities. But he was very flexible if we wanted to ever change any of the plans. We actually extended our time with him because it was so beautiful and it he was great to spend time with.

Sapa is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been and Bob enhances the experience with his local knowledge and experience of the different hikes and activities, giving us a full history of the area, always happy to answer the questions that we had along the way. We wanted something away from the busy tourists and Bob took us to these amazing remote villages. I’d recommend messaging him through WhatsApp so you can personalise your trip and contact him directly - this is what I did.

With Bob it didn’t feel like he was a tour guide but instead just a friend showing us his favourite places. On the last night he welcomed us into his family home for a meal, it was so special to meet his family and the food was delicious.

You must go to Sapa and you must get Bob to show you around.

Sapa Bob is so much fun!!! He is knowledgeable, funny, adventurous and nurturing (for women who want a gentleman to take good care of them). I got recommendation to Bob from my friend and we were absolutely satisfied with his services and we can RECOMMEND him to others.

He took us to the nice trekking trip to the villages with local people, explain a lot things (rice growing process etc) and answer all of our questions.

Later he also wanted to help us very quickly with transfer from Sapa to Lao Cai train station (we missed our bus) and also he booked for us bus from Ninh Binh to Ha Long.

Sapa Review

Bob was my guide for Sapa from 24 - 29 Nov 23. It was my first solo trip and I was glad i chose Sapa and Bob.

Part 1 - Everything was planned and executed by Bob when I told him my rough agenda. I mainly wanted to focus on hiking and homestays. And he planned the itinerary as such. He took great effort to make sure I was comfortable with all details and he did not rush me into making decisions. He let me know all the cost breakdowns and gave his frank opinions as well. He gave me pictures of train cabins and homestays and allowed me to choose whichever I was comfortable with. Any questions were answered very quickly, which allowed me to make my decisions quick as well. He also will once a while check in with me via WhatsApp just to enquire how I am and how I am doing, which was really nice.

Part 2 - I was welcomed by Bob at NOI airport and the moment I saw him, I felt a sense of comfort and familiarity, which kept me at ease as I was a little jittery due to this being my first solo trip. His kindness, cheerfulness and chirpiness kept me calm and happy. He even got me a beautiful huge cake as a surprise when I entered the train cabin just because my birthday was just the day before! Too sweet! I was speechless and was very touched by his act of kindness. He always made sure I was comfortable and was really genuine about it and that touched my heart. He always made sure he was 30mins before the planned timing to meet, so that he can ensure all is well prepared before I meet him for the day. His quick thinking and vast range of networking, especially when I made some last minutes changes, were really commendable and appreciated. He did not leave any stone unturned in his planning and execution.

I would recommend Bob, to anyone keen to travel to Sapa or even anywhere else within Vietnam, as he will definitely give only his best to his clients.

Bob is our tour guide for 2 days 1 night in Sapa. He has great personality and knowledge about Sapa. He shared the history, culture, tips and tricks when travelling in Sapa which was interesting to myself and my family. He was also very considerate when it comes to taking care of older folks (my parents) during the trip. Would highly recommend Bob if you’re looking for a guide in Sapa!
