Ok just had the best day ever with mama Cho Cho ! We took her batik indigo workshop and spent the day laughing together. She is incredible, so talented and fun to be around. Walking to her house is a total treat and adventure on it’s own— definitely my favorite time I had in the sapa area. We met her while we were at a bar down the street drawing and we talked for like 30 minutes and she never tried to sell us anything, which was a nice change from other experiences with locals. She’s a gem. Do anything you can with this woman! Stay at her house! Take a class! Thanks again mama Cho cho!!!!

It's been one of the best experiences I've had in Vietnam. Cho Cho is so nice, her place is in a such a beautiful place that I wouldn't doubt a second to spend a couple of days trekking with her. She's honest, very friendly, a very good cook. Thank you, Cho Cho!!

July '22 - This was exactly the experience we were hoping for. Cho Cho and her family were incredibly welcoming. It is not a 'homestay hotel.' It is the real deal. We were family for a day (well, honored guests) playing with the kids and eating dinner all together. Cho Cho told us about local culture, taught us a few phrases in the Black Hmong language, and laughed a lot. She asked us questions in order to tailor our experience to exactly what we wanted and was never pushy towards us. We would have used her as a trekking guide up the mountain if didn't have to leave! It doesn't hurt that her prices are extremely reasonable. Also, it was some of the best food we ate in Vietnam.

Photos are from the front porch over the rice terraces and from the rice terraces looking at the homestay.

Lovely time shared with Chocho. A strong beautiful woman. She took me to a hike within the mountains, in a different path, not with all the other tours.
I appreciate a lot the food, the attention and being welcomed by her and her family. Can definitely recommend. Sending love.

Mama Cho Cho is extremely funny, interesting and joyful person. She took us to see many views, taught us about her culture and cooked delicious traditional food. Amazing experience that I will never forget!

I have been trekking for two days and this is my second home stay. It does really feel like being at home with the local, you integrate the family and their daily lives. The whole family is welcoming you with a big smile, the kids play with you as soon as they feel comfortable.

Cho Cho is very warm and welcoming, she does have te mama” energy :) she helped me set up my bed and my mosquito net. You have hé choice in the bed you pick ( upstairs or downstairs; there is a shower with very hot water and also a separate toilet)

I was very warm at night and the place is super quiet. (Besides cricket chirping, but that’s nature )
In the morning the views are breathtaking, you are nested in the hillside in the middle of the
Rice fields.
I might stay a second night after all!

It was the best experience ever. I was at her place for the night.(simple and clean)and I had dinner with her family, she has a great personality and she’s super fun.the day after we went for a trekking for 8hr tour.it was just amazing.she knows all the Trekking of the area and she can arrange different way and change programme as you please (if you fell tired).we visit some villages and then we crossed a lot of rice fields, and then amazing mountains and great panoramas. We had lunch at her mountain house with her husband and son.the food was really simple but extremely good and tasty. We also try some fruits we found in the jungle.the tour she does is for people wants really discover how is rural life of people from villages around sapa, and discover a great nature that wouldn’t be possible without a guide.thanks Cho Cho.you have an amazing soul.

This is a real homestay and not a tourist trap as most others. Cho cho speaks good English and is such a lovely and funny person, telling you a lot about the different cultures, the life in the villages, etc. Cannot describe the awesome food as deserved, they do special local recipes and u can even tell them your preferences. Great house, hot shower, western toilet, superb bed and brilliant hospitality of her family. This is 100% authentic! You can even use the homestay as the perfect trekking base through the famous rice fields, cho cho is a great guide!

Gracias Cho Cho
