This place in Sapa is awesome! I gotta say, I've never felt so relaxed and comfortable in a homestay before. The view from the house is amazing - there's a stream right in front of it and Cau May waterfall is just a short distance away. And the best part? The hosts, Scott and the other guy (sorry, I forgot his name) were super friendly and welcoming. Scott told us some really interesting stories about the local area during dinner. Peaceful and beautiful. Wonderful host family, barbecue around the campfire under fog covered mountains and gorgeous sunrise. The trekking was incredible and well worth it. Highly recommended.

Sue and her family are lovely! This homestay has an excellent location, not too far off the main road and just next to the starting point of many hikes. The rooms are basic but clean and the beds are comfortable. For a small extra price you can get breakfast and dinner. The dinner we had was amazing- typical Hmong food of smoked pork and mustard greens! We had a great time!

Very good stay - found on Airbnb. The staff were very friendly and happy to interact and help/leave us be as we wanted. Home made food was really good, local cuisine. Advice to hike up the waterfall/hills/villages was great. Accomadation located in a quiet village/farm area - suited to those looking for a stay outside of busy tourist areas. Would recommend.

If you are looking for a fancy house with services like: coffee, bar, restaurant,... then it's not the place you're looking for. The house in this village is just for people who really wants to experience the local culture with beautiful nature around. The people here not good in doing tourism services, the only thing they can do is sharing their lives and treat you like a part of their community.

I stayed here one night, the host treated my friends and me so well. Service is good because whenever you need help, they always listen phone, reply texts or try to figures the ways to solve problem. They wanted to show us more great places to go but we didn’t have time. We will definitely comeback if we have chance.

Place was amazing! We loved to walk around the home stay as well as the vibe of the place... truly great specially if you are tired after long trek or travelling. Would recommend 100% and would love to be back in that beautiful deck just staring outside. You can get dinner with them which was nice, great breakfast and they sell cold beer

just a word of caution for planing: place is quite far away from sapa town and the roads are in pretty bad shape... meaning taxis, do overcharge you: we ended up paying ca. The same amount to get there and back as we paid for one night stay (500VDN taxis + a random “tourism fee” 150VDN so ca. 25EUR). Perhaps think of a bike? Or simply account for it

I stayed for one night in joy house. It is a beautiful location close to the river in the indigenous village of Ta Van. My hosts went above and beyond to ensure i had a pleasant stay. If you are looking for an authentic experience around Sapa this is a must do.

My travelmate and I had an amazing stay at Joy House. After being really disappointed with all the homestay we visited in Ta Van, we randomly found Joy House and it was the best we could expect. Great and clean place, nice view, amazing family and amazing food.
