The Little Village Homestay

This place is a bohemian haven in The Valley of Sa Pa. It’s about a 30 min drive into town, so it’s nice and quiet, peaceful and there’s plenty of views and fresh air.

Tung and Quynh are both amazing hosts. We ate with them every day, as their food was fresh and delicious. They hooked us up with motorbikes, and gave great recommendations. They were so welcoming and fun to talk to - they really elevated our experience of Sa Pa.

Down the road, about five minutes, is a spa where you can get massages with an herbal bath. There’re also some small food shops in the village, so it’s not completely secluded.

If you’re looking for a chill and artsy place off the beaten track, I highly recommend it.

Had the best time here! Tung is an intrepid host, knows the area so well and can cater his tours to experienced/inexperienced guests. His and Quyen's relaxed, easy-going attitude set the tone. They're both great cooks, the pets are really friendly, gorgeous design and Tung is always working on something new. Ideal in every way!

The Little Village Homestay is super for travelers on a budget who want a bit more authenticy than the busy Sapa hotel scene. Tung and Quyen are 20 somethings, very hospitable,and comfortable with English.

Their homestay is located near the Hmong village of Ta Van. There is plenty to see and do nearby. Sapa is a short 12 km taxi or motorbike ride away. It's peaceful and quiet there, you will love it. Tung has a garden full of organic vegetables, and he will prepare a delicious breakfast or dinner on request.

Although his name is Tung, if you call him Johnny Cash he'll love it. He spends his days improving his homestay, but hell gladly take you trekking if you ask, and he will share his insiders view of the area and his ample local knowledge.

Lastly, he offers both dorm style accommodations as well as private rooms, and if your bus arrives in Sapa at some weird hour (like 3am) he'll make sure you find his place safely.

Did I mention that he just built a new deck? It's perfect for sitting and drinking coffee while gazing at the dazzling mountain views.

Tung and Jakob run a beautiful little homestay nestled on top of a hill overlooking Ta Van. Close to the local bars and restaurants but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. The homestay is new and the beds are very comfortable in the upstairs loft. Highly recommended.
