Rubis Hostel

Our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. The room is air conditioned with a very large and comfortable bed (we like harder mattresses). There's a shower with hot water. Area is very quiet and not touristy so you won't get ripped off or bothered by anyone.

The owner and the staff went above and beyond to help us arrange a transport to Thakhek which is very difficult at this time of the year the boss spent few hours asking around and calling different bus operators to get us a reliable bus at a reasonable price. She has even gone with us to the nearby Hue South Bus station to make sure we find and get on the right bus.

If you are coming to Hue this is the place to stay! It is in a beautiful leafy suburb of Hue with lots of great places to eat and drink coffee nearby. The room has everything you need and more, and there are great views from the top terrace! But most importantly the staff are exceptional. They are so friendly and helpful and will make your stay in Hue great. Thank you again Tuan Tai for making our stay especially special - we will be in touch!

What can I say! If you want to stay in hue, you MUST stay in Rubis hostel! It’s in the best location, on a beautiful quiet street in a friendly, very authentic area. It’s has all the facilities you need, great bathroom, clean beds, aircon, all for a much cheaper price than what you find only 5 minutes walk closer to the centre. But most of all, the staff are amazing. They are the heart of rubis hostel and they made our stay into one of our favourite weeks in Vietnam! Taun Tai was extremely kind and friendly and it was so nice to get to know him. He had become a life long friend. I recommend this rubis hostel to anyone who wants a great hostel in a great area.

I have recently stayed here, I can’t complain about any thing. The host are nothing but amazing and helpful. The only downside is slightly out of town, what for me was perfect to escape hustle and noise. I could not recommend enough. Definitely rent a scooter and your world is unlocked to endless possibilities. I’m coming back this way next month and with out a doubt will be staying here again. I was originally was only going to stay 2 days but ended up staying here for a week. 9/10. For the price you really can’t compare.

We really enjoyed staying here. The location is excellent, quiet. The staff are super friendly and willing to help you get around. They speak really good English and always welcome you with a smile. Our stay here was one of the best in the whole of Vietnam. Guests have the possibility of cooking their meals downstairs, however there are very few utensils for this purpose. The pots in particular have metal handles that get hot very easily. Maybe that is one thing they should improve on. Otherwise, we had an excellent stay here.

We loved our stay at Rubis Hostel! At first we wanted to stay for a couple of days only, which then turned into two weeks. The staff is so friendly and always in a good mood. They're trying to help you out where ever they can and soon begin to treat you like family.

There is a really nice and well-equipped kitchen you can use and several bicycles are provided for free. The hostel is located in a quiet and authentic neighbourhood, which is perfect for those who are not into the typical tourist traps.

Very nice place, the stuff is extraordinary and super friendly. The rooms are clean and big. We had 3 king sized beds for 5 people and could get free bicycles to ride through the city. The staff gave us nice hints for eating, sightseeing and going out at night. They lent us their hair dryer, gave us free tea and coffee, asked a nearby barber shop to open only for us (what they actually did) and organized our further travelling plans to Đa Nẵng and Hôi An. Very much recommended!

This place is awesome!

When I first got here I already knew I have to go back to Saigon for some time. Because I am traveling with my bike the owner immediately offered me to park my bike here for no extra charge at the property.

He also helped us with booking a bus and with all questions concerning further travels.

Before I came back from Saigon to pick up my bike, we texted via mail and he checked for me several options for sending a bike to Hanoi.
So when I arrived he arranged already everything.

The host and all personal are just super friendly. I enjoyed my stay and will come back 😊

Very basic and a little bit out of town, but it's really a nice place to stay. The place itself has nothing special, but the people there. It felt like coming to stay with friends and their family. It was really the best part of our trip through Vietnam from the South to the North. You'll get more than what you pay for.

Great. The kindness and hospitality of Jin and his family made us love our staying in Hue.
Borrowed their bicycles, got a lot of recommendations and help to visit around, and they showed true interest in our pleasant stay. Always checking if we need anything or chatting about our day.
Rooms are clean and wifi works fine.
Location is not great.a bit far from touristy area, which is what we wanted. Very local area with no big hotels or fancy restaurants for foreigners.

We had a wonderful couple of days in Rubis Hostel, especially because of the two girls Chi and Chin (?) working there. They made us feel very welcome and gave us wonderful suggestions for our stay in Hue. There was a small misunderstanding regarding our booking but they quickly took care of it, and also helped with our late checkout. Thanks a lot! I definitely recommend this place!

The staff at Rubis Hostel is what makes this place stand out! Our first night there, one of the staff helped us cook vietnamese sweet potato... which we were on track to ruin. Another staff member helped us to plan out all the activities for our stay in Hue and rented us a scooter. They are super friendly and fun to chat with!

Rubis Hostel is a very good place to stay when you visit Hué. While not all of the staff speak good English, communication always worked. Everyone was really nice and helpful, no matter what the problem was about.
We arrived very late at night but were still able to check in.
The rooms are also very clean and modern.
Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at Rubis. They were so friendly and helpful. Clean and cheap accommodation. They got taxis for us, gave recommendations. I lost my cellphone in a taxi and I was freaking out and Phoebe called all the taxi services and got the taxi driver to come and bring me my phone. I will be staying here next time in Hue.

Really nice hostel just 10 min motorbike from imperial city and center. Really quiet neiboohood and clean. Money value, air con and staff is really friendly and advise you for food, visit etc... Don't hesitate!

Rubis Hostel was a very nice place to stay. It's a hostel a little out of the center, but by motorbike or bike it's a short ride to the center. Lovely staff as well! Especially Chi!
