excellent bowl of bún bò huế. I recommend getting the special (đặc biệt) bowl, you get to try so many different kinds of meat toppings. Of course, the usual fresh veggies, chili oil, limes, and fish sauce are available to adjust the flavour to your liking, i added a lime and chili oil. The broth is salty and has a strong fermented flavour. The noodles are not too firm, not too soft. It's 50k a bowl, the guy asked if I drank or ate something else so maybe there is an add-on that they charge you more for? I wonder if this explains why other tourists think they were charged more in the reviews.

I recommend tourists try this place out, the food is great, the people seem nice, and you definitely get a sense of culture sitting in the messy environment.

Delicious broth! Order the dac biết (special) 50k. Many cuts of meat, with a side plate of the greens (toppings). Great portion size and very satisfying!

This is the best place closest to the tourist area. All Bun Bo places that opens all day are not true spots to get it, meant more for tourist. The special bowl (dac Biet) cost only 50k dong $2.05

Local Bun Bo Hue special. Abit on the dirty environment side. If you can tolerate that, you won't be disappointed with the soup noodles.

Went the first time 6 years ago and kept coming back. It’s one of the best and cheapest Bahn Khoai’s in the city!! Nem Lụi is great too! It’s really all good. Simply love it here. So friendly and authentic

Amazing breakfast

If you aren’t a local, then you will automatically be served the special bowl. It is 50k and comes with a variety of meat. Very tasty, I was pleasantly surprised. However service was slow and the establishment is dirty and crowded.

Great bowl of Bun Bo Hue. Ok, the atmosphere is a little sketchy and it's not the kinda place you'd bring a date but the soup itself was delicious ( cost 40,000 Dong). It must be good since it was packed with Vietnamese people at 6:30 am and not one tourist (other than me). Sure the walls haven't been painted in decades and sure they're chopping meat in the open at the back and sure they're washing dishes in pails behind you at the sides, but that's all part of its charm (along with the foot high plastic chairs). North American health inspectors would shut a place like this down the second they walked in but I ate here and suffered no I'll effects. I don't know if it's soup is any better than the half dozen other Bun Bo Hue places I passed walking back to my hotel. All I can say is that I really enjoyed it.

Amazing Bun thit nuong that made me and my boyfriend come back day after day after day after day. Great balance of the flavours and the pork was beautifully grilled. Loved it!

We were recommended this place by a local & it didn’t disappoint at all! Bun bo hue for breakfast - two big bowls for 60,000d 🤗 one of the best meals we’ve eaten in our 7 days so far in Vietnam.

They have the best bun thit nuong that I have tried so far in Vietnam! They use a peanut based sauce that is a specialty to Hue, which imho is actually tastier than the ones in HCMC. The ratios of noodle, pork, veggies and herbs are just incredible. Also, I think the pork for the bun thit nuong dish is cooked in crack because it is just too delicious 😋 much tastier than the pork from the more trendy "hot tuna" restaurant. I came here twice and will return if I'm ever back in Hue!
