Avocado Bookstore

My partner and I had a fantastic experience at Avocado Bookstore today. The diverse selection of books, ranging from contemporary fiction to thrilling murder mysteries, truly impressed us. The well-organized store, coupled with the kind and helpful lady who runs it, adds a personal touch. Despite its size, Avocado Bookstore surpasses other Hoi An bookstores we've visited, and we genuinely wish it continued success.

Such a cute little bookstore tucked inside a family home! There's a huge selection of books for both adults and children, mostly in English, spanning a wide selection of genres. The owners are lovely and so welcoming, and aside from being a great place to pick up some new books, it's also a great place to donate any books you no longer needs on your travels. Couldn't recommend this place more.

a lot of good books and good price, manage to find a few missing books for kid. Very friendly family owner. Happy visiting, highly recommend.

Wonderful bookstore! Lots of big name authors (Terry Pratchett, Stephen King, Ian Rankin, Philip Pullman), classics, biographies and romance novels. Lovely friendly and helpful owner. Best book shop in Hoi An!

Lovely family-owned second hand book store. Full of English language books and ideal to pick up some holiday reading. The lady that owns the store is so friendly and gave us a gift after we donated some books we read during our travels.

Lovely small “bookstore” tucked inside a home. It’s cozy and had a large variety of books (mostly fiction, however, I did see some non-fiction). The books are from the UK so expect them to all be in English. The host whom I forgot her name was very kind and welcoming. Highly recommend passing by!

went looking for English books and this place was perfect! the little girl speaks English very well and did very good maths with our money. she even had a conversation with my dad and was very nice. the entire family is so sweet and had a great selection of books - we bought Harry Potter and Matched!

Such a lovely little bookstore🥰 they have lots of different kinds of books and all in english! I paid 70k for a book!

Fabulous local bookshop with a lot of English language holiday classics from a wide range of well known authors! We grabbed a couple of Young Adult books (e.g. Hunger Games) for our girls, as they had run out of books to read!

What a gem of a bookshop!! It was such a pleasure to browse these bookshelves as there is a very decent range of English novels to choose from at very reasonable prices! The family that own the shop are so lovely and helpful, especially the daughters! Would highly recommend!

Cute english bookstore tucked away on a side street with a pretty decent collection and really good prices. Books are like 80-200k depending on the age and condition i guess. The kids that greet you are super cute

Amazing little bookshop. Only been open a few weeks but have great collection of reading material already to suit all tastes. Run by lovely friendly family. The daughter speaks brilliant English for her age. Will be definitely be going back before we leave Hoi An. Also gave me a cool little Avacado bookmark for free which was really nice of them. 👍

Loads of great English books from the classics to easy reads. Loads of crime novels. Picked up a terry Pratchett for 2 quid! Perfect place to a grab a cheap holiday book. Adorable family too :)

Nice cosy little book shop. Books all in English. A good selection including classics and modern titles. I bought 2 paperbacks for 140 and 150 vnd each. Owner is a lovely welcoming local woman.

Greeted by a very kind man that invited me in to have a look at the books. He turned on the fans and let me browse in peace. He las a large selection of English second hand books for adults, teenagers and kids. Highly recommend if in need of some reading material.

The family was very friendly and I was able to trade in my old book towards the purchase of a new one. I prefer to buy secondhand, and the shop had a great selection of books in English to choose from. I’ll definitely stop by if I’m ever in Hoi An again!
