Fun experience and great support for the local economy! The boat rides can go for about 15 minutes. Each boat can fit 2 small adult guest, 1 large adult guest or 1 adult+2 kids so please check with the boat riders as to not leave a child unattended.

At the center of the large lake are perfomances, floating karaokes and fishermen at work. Do bring cash to tip them! While Dong is appreciated, other currencies work too. It is mostly the middle to older generation working here so do be nice and tip them.

Booked through Klook, finding the place was a but hard as there are several diff companies offering the coconut boat ride. Even though its raining , boatmen tried to make it an enjoyable experience for us, they were making every effort to give us some fun time. Overall enjoyed the experience .

Nowhere else outside of Hoi An Coconut Village, travelers can find a basket boat ride across the immense palm forests. It’s an experience that allows the passengers to know better about the life of local fishermans, explore the communist base in the Vietnam War and unique ecosystems after boarding. It’s fun, stunning and gives adventuring vibes.

Such a beautiful experience. Make sure you go on a day when the sun is being kind to us so you can enjoy more. The basket boat takes you through the waters and you can relax at how calm it feels. The rowers will offer to spin you, it is definitely a unique experience and I strongly recommend it to everyone who doesn’t get easily sick. The riders are fun and they dance to the music to make you feel at ease. You can use the Google translate to communicate with them. Make sure you carry cash incase you want to buy anything there as they don’t accept cards.

Lots of fun here. Here is a place you would see try net fishing, net casting, crab fishing, boat swing, etc. Many tourists come here as this is one of the best outdoor activities in Hoi An. A bit distant from Hoi An old town, about 20 mins by motorbike. Remember to apply on sunproof cream or put on a hat as you’ll be exposed to the sun for a while.

The coconut trees is pretty. There are many photo spot.
There is also Karaoke in the middle of river as well.
The boat can passage from2-4 passengers with one waterman.

This is more than a place, it's an experience. When you reach the spot, you'll find people eager to give you the basket boat ride. Negotiate with them and start the adventure. The lady who gave the tour was friendly and nice. She even let me ride/paddle the boat. She did that round and round thing they do in the water which was really fun. When you get to reach the middle, there will be a lot of boat riders who perform that spinning in the boat, it so good to watch that.

Such a great place, everyone very friendly , boat ride very entertaining.

It's a wonderful place, if you want to see more, feel Hoi An, be sure to visit, by the way, you can rent a boat here for $4, when you are told a high price, be sure to bargain.

The coconut basket boat village was one of the most original and adrenaline fueled stopover at Quang Nam

The basket boat, in time past, was mainly used as a fishing vessel but now it has being transformed into a tourism attraction. The livelihood of the villagers here are now much better and more diversified.

Flanking the village are a series of estuaries and riverine conduits with luxuriant nipa mangroves by the brackish water. The roundish boat can comfortably fit in 2 adults while being manoeuvred by the boatman over twists and turns with thick vegetation on both sides resembling a movie scene of tacit infiltration of enemy positions.

After turning a corner, we could hear pop music blasting with young and agile boatmen performing the iconic basket boat dance with brave passengers on board.

Upon disembarking, it was a mini shopping spree and trying on the graceful and alluring Vietnamese Ao Dai for some at the makeshift shopping kiosk.

Very fun tourist experience. We visited as part of a cooking class and couldn't recommend it more. The boats are very fun, and we even paid 100k VND for a ride during the show. The coconut crab fishing is a cute experience, and the cooking class after was amazing!!

During the Vietnam war with the French in 1948 and Americans in 1966, Cam Thanh coconut village especially the Bay Mau water coconut forest was the strong shield, the revolutionary base to protect and rescue the people and soldiers of Hoi An, Vietnam.

The local guerrilla forces have relied on the discreet terrain, easy to hide places to organize many unexpected battles, even when our forces are too thin and the enemy troops are numerous, but we still defeat the enemy. In the enemy’s raids, the enemy was equipped with modern weapons than us, had artillery and air force support but still could not make us lose the battle.

The moment we check in to our hotel in Hoi An, we asked the owner lady to recommend coconut boat ride and she straight away call this company and they came to fetch us from our hotel to this place. Car and boat tickets different price. The owner of this place, he is friendly. Even those handle the boat are friendly. The ride was fun/around 45 minutes. Overall should try 👍😊

Hoi An Coconut Village boasts of the most interlaced waterway system in the city. Four rivers encircle it and are connected together with smaller canals. In these canals, local people row the famous bamboo boats with tourists all over the world. They take you to a certain point where all the boats gather and the local boatmen dance together with music. After the ride the boatman expects some tipping. 20k vnd is enough for that.

Very nice place to have a basket boat tour, don't forget to bargain. They can quote anything, however, ensure u reduce it to 50%. Tour was great and we really liked it.

This seemed like a massive MUST DO while in Da Nang or in Hoi An. Not many spoke of it so it feels a bit like a hidden gem ! It was such a fun experience and something I’ve never done before. We paid 150k per basket, and you can have only 3 people in the basket (1 being the actual man that’s rowing it). If someone’s charging any more than that amount, don’t even bother going with them ! You also pay 30k entry fee to the village area :)

The culture here is amazing. They will take you to the Coconut Forest by their round boat. Sailors are skillful. And nothing to worry it isn't scary at all.

If you are looking for something to do exotic in Hoi An this place is a must.
