RedCoral Halong Indian Halal Restaurant

We found Red Coral online, and went with zero expectations. Chef Bhanu came to meet us outside and understood some of our dietary restrictions and made a meal that not only met those restrictions but was absolutely flavoursome, even the simple dal tadka. We are vegans and it is really hard to find decent Indian food abroad, esp in this part of the world. We loved Chef Bhanu’s food so much that we went the next day too, and even carried a packed lunch for our onward journey. There was no overuse of spices or oil, or any additives as such, and chef is very polite and accommodating. Outdoor seating is good, although indoor seating could be better. Portion sizes are on the smaller side, so you will need to order more than usual. Highly recommended- dal tadka, dal makhni, palak, chana masala, lachcha paranthas…

This is the one and only restaurant in Halong Bay where you can get sort of Indian cuisine. Chef is from Pakistan and good decent Indian food. You might feel a bit difference in taste because of the local cooking oil, spices, etc. But all over it's great.
Few people have written negative reviews, don't go on that. When you have only one option, then complaining is not the right thing to do.

Amazing 👏, the Indian Chef - young man, he was superb, he did the best food and services. I love his birialy rice. The Restaurant is right beside the city which also has alot of 5* hotels. The restaurant is very nice laid out and the staff are very helpful

I only had the chicken tikka masala and cheesy garlic naan, and I am by no means an Indian food expert, but it was absolutely delicious. Much better than other places in Halong I’ve been too. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The chef just came out to see if I liked the food, and he is Indian, which is nice.

It is very good Indian restaurant in Ha Long. Very tasty food, Hospitality is superb, feel like home. Whenever you visit Halong, go and enjoy. Owner Ms Ha is marvelous lady.

Ignore the negative reviews. If your expectations are normal, you'll have a great time as we had a very nice meal here. The staff are friendly and had a laugh with us.

just ask for chef's choice menu, chill and relax for next 60-90min with food, tea and yogurt.

as chef from south indian area, a fine tuning for saltiness and spiciness is good to do when order.

The drinks at RedCoral are also excellent. The cocktails are creative and well-crafted. They have a great selection of mocktails as well, which is perfect for non-drinkers or those who prefer non-alcoholic beverages.
