Citadines Marina Halong

We loved the place. we visited in the month of July. It wasn't very crowded. The food was great. The staff were friendly. The rooms were comfortable enough. The only complaint if any, was that they still haven't mastered the art of providing world class service. It was good, I'd say even great, but wasn't outstanding.

It exceeded my expectations! The room was fantastic, with a stunning terrace view, super clean, comfortable and large. The facilities very clean, spacious, diverse. The staff was very kind, attentive, smiling, friendly, fascinating, good workers, very generous, very helpful, especially Joy who helped us plan activities, call taxis, communicate with drivers, schedule an activity and accompany us to the entrance even on our last day in Halong Bay. her charisma and great attitude made us feel at home. The restaurant on the first floor is quite good, variable food both oriental and western. I highly recommend this hotel for stays from a day to a week, as we did. Thank you very much Cetadine

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Ms Joy is the most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. She had helped me alot in my vacation. Room was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner.

PROS: Very limited vegetarian options in the restaurants BUT the chefs are very willing to work with you (particularly Frank, who is the Food and Beverages manager). The breakfast spread at this hotel is incredible! One of the best we've ever come across.

Perfect jumping-off point for Halong Bay tours.
Very well-equipped gymnasium.

CONS: Staff have limited English (although, to be fair, my ability to speak Vietnamese is basically nil).
When we were there (school holidays) it was impossible to get any space in the pool.
Ditto, breakfast was ridiculously crowded. Hint: Go as late as you can - the food still comes out fresh and you don't have to deal with the crowds.
Cleanliness could be a bit better on cupboard doors, etc.

My stay at Citadines Marina Halong was an excellent experience. The reception staff, especially Joy, Vincent and Duc, provided excellent guidance on local attractions and hotel facilities. Moreover, the service, was greatly appreciated. I was very satisfied with the swimming pool. Overall, my stay at Citadines was comfortable and enjoyable, and I'm grateful for it. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our experience visiting the Citadines Hotel was amazing, the highly modern building and location are very impressive. At night, the building is all covered with lights in a Vietnam flag design and it reflects in the water - so beautiful! The receptionist, Joy, was the most helpful employee I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. She was so welcoming and went above and beyond to help us with our needs, and spoke with us at length about Ha Long and Vietnam. Thank you, Joy and the Citadines!

Love my night in this 5⭐ Hotel.. the skybar was welcoming and with friendly staff.. Breakfast was next level good.. Truly impressed with this Hotel.

Fast heck in process, nice and helpfull staff. As we travel with chlid it was that there was playground inside the building, two swiming pools one inside and one outside. Room was specious, nice view fom balcony. Breakfast great and tasty.

The room was clean and new. The services such as the gym, pool both indoor and outdoor was amazing. Additionally, the breakfast came with a wide variety of different food.

Such a great hotel to stay, great new hotel, great view! I love the fact that the location is out of the busy streets, I could just relax by the full sea view balcony. Super friendly staffs.

My husband and I had a great stay at Citadines! The staff was amazing and our room was very clean and had a stunning view. We had a late lunch at Soul Bowl when we arrived - every dish we ordered was delicious and our server, Minh, was very helpful. He even found the name of the artist who crafted their stunning dishware! If we ever find ourselves in Ha Long again, we will definitely be back!

Extremely plush rooms. Location was phenomenal if you want a peaceful/ serene stay. They allow you to use bicycles for free and it's a beautiful place to ride them when ever you want.
Luxurious pools/ restaurants and services.
The staff is exceptionally polite and friendly
We had Jasime and Kim as our receptionists and they were the most welcoming staff I have ever come across.

Really impressed! New and modern hotel with lovely decoration. Large balcony that's great to relax and enjoy the nice bay view. Helpful staff that always support me and my family even for small thing that made my wonderfull vacation. Will back again. Highly recommend!

One bedroom apartment is amazing for a small family, baby cot is provided. The room is have full kitchen, large fridge and a washing machine.

My friends and I took a weekend trip and really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was beautiful, clean, and had a great ocean view. Also would recommend checking out the rooftop bar :) One of my friends is gluten-free and all of the staff were patient and helpful in accommodating her requests. We also had a lot of fun using the hotel bikes (free of charge) to ride around town and hit the beaches nearby. Special thanks to Tracy, who helped us book local excursions and was super responsive to all our requests. Thank you Citadines!

Citadines Marina Halong is truly a top leading hotel in Halong. My family did fully enjoy the comfort and convenience during our stay on April 8. Our room on 26 floor is beautifully designed and refined. The space at the hotel is extremely clean and cool. The service attitude of the staff is very enthusiastic. Especially thanks for front desk team, they are perfect. I will come back to Citadines soon!
