I recently attended a 3-hour wood carving class and it was an absolute delight! Duy and his team were not only professional but also incredibly funny and friendly, making the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. The atmosphere is so relaxing, complemented by a perfect view over the river and distant corn gardens. The setting alone is therapeutic.

Absolutely satisfied with my wooden carving - a cute Owl! The instructors are true experts, and you'll be amazed at what you can create under their guidance. Hands down the best experience I’ve had in Hoi An. Duy warmly welcomed me into his home & workshop where we spent the afternoon creating my very own wood carving! He is a patient, encouraging and knowledgeable teacher. It’s easy to get along with Duy and we had so much fun in the process! I also met some of the professional wood carvers and saw both Duy and his family’s completed wood work too. Oh, and the location is magical too - just to top it all off. A truly authentic local experience - I cannot recommend this highly enough.

An amazing workshop! I booked through their website and got a reply in a matter of minutes. They were also happy to provide a motif that was more to my liking. I got there from Hoi An by Grab where I was welcomed by Duy. First he showed me various art made by him and students of his father. The workshop itself lasted approximately 3 hours. Duy and his colleague were wonderful teachers, patient, instructive, and always offered to help with the difficult parts, which is why I am very satisfied with the finished product. I absolutely recommend this workshop, well worth the price.

I was welcomed at woodart Vietnam by Duy, who is a very nice person and an amazing artist. He was kind enough to open a full day workshop just for me su ce I was very interested in learning the craft. And I have to say it came beyond my expectations.

The visit of the workshop was very interesting. Being able to see the sculptures for real and learning about the cultural and histrical background on the craft and the legends behind some of the works in the studio was fantastic. And even if you don't want to actually sculpt I'd recommend having a stop to learn more.

The meal was also fantastic and expertly cooked. A very nice bonding moment.

The sculpting lesson in itself was very well taught. With a lot of passion and enthusiasm from Duy and his team. I managed to go as far as I wanted for the day. And would definitely do that again if the occasion vomes again.

This is a must do if you ever come near Hoi An.

This workshop is unlike any other I've experienced. The location is otherworldly as you sit by a stream and carve wood. Duy, the instructor, is as talented as he is patient and the three plus hours I spent here were worth every buck. If you're in Hoi An and looking for something that's creative and calming at the same time, I highly recommend this.

Amazing 3+hour activity - I had so much fun carving my tree/ phoenix. As soon as you walk into Duy’s home, you’re surrounded by beautiful nature and even more stunning woodart. The pieces we saw were amazing and it was the perfect introduction to our own wood working lesson. Duy and his team were so helpful and patient in showing us how to carve. We chose tricky images (a detailed sunflower, 6 one piece characters and phoenix/tree, but the team believed in us and supported us in creating the masterpieces we had in mind. We were fully immersed in peace, sun and birds singing nearby. The class is located 30mins away from Old Town and getting a Grab was easy and scenic - super worth stepping away from the touristy streets. Brilliant afternoon of wood carving in the most picturesque spot on the outskirts of Hoi An. Duy and his team are so talented at their craft as well as being great teachers and very welcoming. We left with fantastic handmade souvenirs and memories of a unique experience. Thoroughly enjoyed our class.

This is an amazing place to visit. You guys should come here when you go to Danang or Hoi An ancient town since it’s quite close. I’m really interested in woodart but first I’m kinda afraid cuz this place has been opened just a month and there’s few review on travel apps but finally I decided to come here. What an interesting experience! I was told a lot of Vietnamese historical story and fairy tales, which each wood piece shows. Mr. Duy, the teacher, is very kind, patient and friendly. He showed me how to carve step by step so I found it very easy to do even though I’m not good at art. What I’m so impressed was the view here. With colorful flowers, the lake, the bird sound, they made me feel peaceful and relax a lot. What a memorable experience!

I’ve visited Woodart Vietnam last year, such a great welcoming and everyone very kind. They let me stay at the workshop and practice some wood carving. Duy Tran story is very inspiring, coming from a family of great artisans!!

What an amazing experience! Both Duy and his family are heartwarming people and so talented. Duy showed us around first, after which he taught us the beautiful craft of wood carving. It was mind-blowing what he and the people who work there can achieve with the wood. Very inspiring! Duy wo so supportive in his teaching and his English is very good, which made communicating very easy. Time flew by and even though at first we were very much in doubt whether we could make anything resembling the model Duy prepared for us, we were so happy with the result. We couldn’t have done it without Duy’s kind words and big smile! A unique and unforgettable experience, which I believe everyone should try at least once in a lifetime. Duy and his family are the very best, so there’s no better place to go. What a luck Duy decided to open up this experience for a wider audience. Absolutely, without a doubt, recommend!

You won't regret visiting this off-the-beaten- path place near Hoi An. Not only will you witness colorful village life, but you will also encounter exquisite works of art made from wood. The studio belongs to a famous Vietnamese artist. It's interesting to see a workshop where traditional techniques are used to create impressive, intricate sculptures.

What a wonderful escape not too far out of Hoi An. The peaceful setting and welcoming vibes were wonderful. I had my doubts about my carving, but the team patiently guided me through and it was great fun! Would highly recommend

Incredible experience. The workshop is located in a very beautiful place, next to the river. In addition to the three-hour master class, there is a whole day master class. I really hope that in the future it will be possible to get it

I am traveling with my family of 5. In our last week in Hoi An we have done tons of art classes and experiences. This was, by far, our favorite. My son and I walked away totally impressed with the art pieces that this family has created.
Our guide (Duy) began by giving us a tour of his works as well as his father’s pieces. He showed us around the workshop where the artists were in various stages of production.
And then we went to the most picturesque outdoor craft area to work on our art. The spot overlooks the river and the rice fields beyond. Duy asked us what we wanted to craft and he returned with drinks for while we worked. We worked on it for about two hours using various tools and had so much fun. We enjoyed it so much that I think we might order some tools to do this on our own back home.
The experience is a little far from Hoi An, but a Grab is easy to get. Duy called a taxi for us to return to town since Grabs are not as easy to get out there (the cost was similar).

It's definitely worth visiting this place away from Da Nang and Hoi An if you like wooden products. You will find beautiful wood carvings you would never find in other parts of the world. More than that, I was very inspired by their spirits of bringing new type of job in a village and hire local artists to get themselves independent. This is one model of how you develop the countryside of a country.

J'allais visiter My son depuis Hoi an, et je regardais sur maps, ce qu'il y avait à voir dans les environs. Je vois qu'il y'a ce sculpteur de bois. Je décide de m'y rendre. L'entrée n'est pas forcément claire pour un étranger mais maps indique le bon endroit donc facile à trouver.
Je tombe sur le jeune, qui dirige aussi la chaîne youtube. Il m'a fait visiter toute les galeries, avec des sculptures traditionnelles mais aussi celles de pop culture. Puis il m'a fait visiter l'atelier avec les employés. Un endroit vraiment incroyable, où ils finissent des travaux dans le but d'organiser des visites touristiques de cet endroit ! Je ne regrette pas, un lieu à voir si vous êtes vers Hoi an!
