Best market, they had a toilet plunger when other larger stores nearby didn’t! Always very friendly, too.

I have been a customer at the Lovejoy Market since 1983, this is THE place in Portland for a deli sandwich! They are inexpensive and any longtime customer who has had one knows how delicious they are. I can't really explain why they are so good, they simply are! Nothing tastes like a sandwich from the Lovejoy Market, and they have changed very little in 36 years! I just wish they were the same price ($1.35 in 1983!!), but they are still fairly inexpensive!

If you're one to support local business, this place deserves your business. A great local convenience store will have all your late night needs: snacks, ice cream, beer, and miscellaneous domestic needs. The employees are extremely friendly and recognize a return customer.

The man who runs this place is incredibly rude. The lady has always been kind but my goodness, the man was so unnecessarily rude when I asked for help. Then he threw my card at me after I paid. Yikes!!!
