LegSmart Portland Compression Stockings

Lea provided the most professional fitting and help about my compression stocking needs. I am experiencing the best comfort now after having very uncomfortable experiences with compression stockings for 30 years. Lea and LegSmart are number one! I hope many doctors will send patients to LegSmart so they can get exactly what they need. Don't mess around with other services online, or whatever, contact LegSmart first.

Over 2 years ago Lea fitted my husband for a quality pair of compression socks when we were visiting Portland, Oregon. We recently went back to the store again to purchase an additional pair of compression socks for myself and Lea measured and found the perfect pair for me. The socks are pricey but make my legs feel great and are made to last a long time.

I found Lea on google I contacted her for my dad who has a ulcer on his ankle and needed compression wraps, and socks for his condition. He lives on the coast and there was nothing available. After discussing at length with Lea she felt it would be best if she made a house call. She went above and beyond to help, was very Knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She made my dad feel comfortable, and explained what he needed to do more so than the doctor he'd seen at the coast! I highly recommend her for anyone's needs for compression stockings, wraps and all the specialty items she provides. My dad is already feeling better only after 3 days! I feel very fortunate that I found such a caring, knowledgeable and professional person to help! Thank you Lea!

Lea was very , very helpful and knowledgeable. She asked how I found out about the company and location to which I replied, referral by my physical therapist (PT). Although my physical therapy session was not for compression socks, after further discussion it was noticed that I was wearing a pair of the lesser-priced, over-the-television brand socks. My physical therapist explained that these were ill-fitting and directed me to LegSmart for a proper fitting.
When I arrived I was greeted very warmly and professionally by Lea, who sat down me to ascertain my size, fit, and degree of compression. I discussed other physical compression needs, such as arm sleeves for blood clot in arm. Lea was very informative and not hard-sell or pushy. She gave me all the information necessary to make an educated decision and explained that if I had any further questions to contact her and gave me her business card. I will be thanking my PT and of course Lea for such a wonderful experience. Spent close to an hour talking comparisons. Although more expensive than the cheaper brands, they fit well and feel soooooo good on my feet and legs. I've never felt better and will refer others I come in contact with that may have a need for these socks and comfort.
P.S. They have a wide array of styles and designs for men, women, kids, sports people, runners, etc. I'm sure there will be a style for you.

I was referred by my doctor to LegSmart because of continuing leg pain. Lea was very informative about the type of compression stockings that might help. After being measured and fitted I purchased stockings. Lea contacted me to see if they were helping, and using her expertise, suggested a different stocking that would support my arthritic knees, as well as the leg pain. From showing me how to put on the stockings, and other tips on wearing them, Lea was professional and genuinely concerned about helping me. In past 3 years I have bought so many compression stockings and socks, from drug store pharmacies, catalog, TV, and on internet. I have a big pile of them, but NOTHING WORKED! They were either too long or too short; too tight or too loose; they cut into my ankles, or cut into my calves...my several years investment in compression socks were a big throw away.

My legs were still swollen and in pain when I saw my doctor, he asked me why don't you wear your compression stockings? I told him how much I hated them because they never worked for me. Then my doctor said: you need go to this place LegSmart. They will get you fitted.

So I went. The lady measured my legs, looked at my feet, asked some questions, tested my hands and back movements. She picked a pair of socks and put on for me. Wow! my legs and feet have never felt this comfortable! The socks are pleasant to wear. Compare to the socks I had before is truly day and night. Think about the money I had spent on other socks before and the pain I had lived with through out the years, it all worth it to make a trip to LegSmart and spend money on right socks that you can actually wear. I learned now, medical compression sock is not something you can just pull off from a shelf, they must be fitted by certified professional. It makes HUGE difference.

I recently started suffering from edema. Compression stockings for my condition weren't covered by my insurance, and Kaiser didn't carry my size over the counter. They sent me to LegSmart and I'm so happy they did! At LegSmart, they showed compassion, fitted me, called my doctor to verify their recommended compression grade was the right one, and gave me a thorough tutorial on how to put them on. I know without that tutorial, I would have been very frustrated. I would recommend them to anyone for sports or medical reasons who wants compression stockings. Two thumbs way up!

I'm in my mid-50s, a long-time runner and healthy. My legs had been aching for several weeks, and I had gotten to the point where I didn't want to even walk the dog because of discomfort.

I wondered if compression stockings could help and found LegSmart through Google.

It was an AMAZING experience! After looking at my lower legs, Lea suggested I get evaluated for varicose veins--and she gave me a referral for a free vein check. This was not a surprise, since vv run in my family. Honestly, getting a free referral a few minutes into our conversation was a little weird, but any reservations I had evaporated as I began to appreciate her expertise.

She measured me and fitted me with footless compression stockings. And taught me how to put them on properly--more important than I ever suspected. I've been wearing compression running tights for a long time, but there's a big difference between all-over compression made by a sporting-goods manufacturer and graduated compression, made by companies that specialize in treating circulatory disorders.

I immediately felt a difference that far surpassed anything I expected. Not only did my legs feel SO much better, but I also felt noticeably clearer and brighter mentally within 10 minutes or so--which makes total sense. Blood that's pooling in my legs isn't getting to my brain.

Feeling so much better so quickly made me realize how gradually I had started feeling off--focus, energy, and, finally, leg pain. I had been wondering if this was all just part of getting older--and I couldn't imagine how I'd be able to walk, much less run, in another five years.

I intended to buy one pair of compression tights. I bought tights and two pairs of socks (which are very cute, in addition to making my feet, ankles, and calves feel amazing)--and asked Lea to order me another pair of tights.

I can't imagine NOT wearing them every single day, and the only reason I didn't ask for three or four more pairs is because I'm scheduling the vein check. If I feel this good with consumer-level compression and I should have something stronger because of varicose veins--sign me up!! (Plus, the medical grade tights come in colors just like the ones I wear with my ankle boots all the time.)

I'm so grateful that I didn't just order something online to see if it would work. I told Lea that I was a customer of hers for life--and I sure as heck am!

Wow!!!! I am recovering from bilateral total knee replacements and needed compression tights to travel 15 days after my surgery and to keep on for a total of 6 weeks. I called Lea after my doctor at Rebound recommended legsmart. Lea set up a special time on Saturday to take care of me since it was the only time I could get someone to drive me to Lake Oswego. Customer Service does not get any better than this! And, Lea is so knowledgeable and caring!!! I walked out with three pairs of tights for me and one pair that I am donating to a woman in the UK who is having surgery in a couple of weeks. They are so comfortable and well-made, I don’t think I will ever go back to regular tights again! If I could give 10 stars for this business, I would!

We just received excellent service and advice at this store. The staff here are thoroughly trained in the proper fitting of compression socks, stockings, and leggings and keep in stock a wide assortment of women's and men's sizes from multiple manufacturers. After careful measuring and a complete walk-thru on how to put on and wash compression stockings, we did buy a pair. And they feel great.

I expected to walk into Leg Smart and have someone point to a rack of compression socks. To my amazement, the service we received was exceptional. They measured the feet and legs in more places than the doctors did and educated us more than the doctors did! I am so glad we stopped into this store. I hope this store is in business for a long time and I am going to tell everyone I know about this store. They are AMAZING!!!

Stumbled on this unique compression stocking store during our family's reunion. My sisters and I got so exited when we saw many cool and trendy choices, in compression socks?! Each of us got nice compression socks for travel and fashion ones for work and dress up, Best of all - we got our "former hippy" Mom a pair of funky tied-dye compression leggings :) She loves it!

Until I discovered LegSmart, I was unable to find compression stockings that were feasible to put on. With Lea's extensive expertise and tools, I am now able to wear my Zuzo stockings daily with a resulting size reduction from III to I!

As a first time user of compression hose, I felt the need to find a store that could guide me thru the maze of styles, materials, and sizes. The internet is not the place to get that information. You are best served by a certified fitter and at Legsmart, Lea Wang is that resource. The hose that I purchased from her are amazingly comfortable and cool.
