I popped into this shop the other week after visiting the Oswego Country Market, and it was a wonderful experience! Michelle was absolutely lovely, and so friendly. I bought a bath bomb (in Honeysuckle), sugar scrub (in Oatmeal Milk & Honey) and hand soap (in Bay Rum) and all products have been amazing. Very nice scents, not too overpowering, and everything leaves my skin feeling so soft. I even received a sample soap as well! I highly recommend checking this out if you want to shop local and treat yourself or others.

Beautiful well-laid out store. Tastefully decorated. Has a very warm inviting feel and the owner Michelle is very sweet and friendly. The products are handmade from a family of 3 generations in the soap making business. Loved the beautiful scents from lemongrass to eucalyptus. Highly recommend 👌

Michelle is one of the sweetest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I came here over this past winter when my cousin was visiting from Michigan. We came in here on a whim one snowy night and her personality warmed us up immediately. She is so welcoming, loving and bubbly and radiates love. She is very passionate and incredible at what she does. She makes high quality, amazing smelling soap. Her store is so adorable and during the winter time is so festive. Michelle really left an impact on me and is one of the most beautiful souls I've ever met. Thank you Michelle for being so passionate in your craft and for brightening the days and lives of everyone you interact with <3

We visited this lovely shop for the first time today and it was beyond wonderful! Michelle explained her artwork to us, the soaps are natural and almost too beautiful to use! I would recommend stopping in, you will love it!

The best soap i have had in forever and the store is always well put together and the owner is such a pleasure to speak to def recommend to all with sensitive skin or people that just like a refreshing clean feel with a phenomenal scent (so many to choose from).

Michelle is the sweetest! We love getting to chat with her and hear her stories. She's a THIRD generation soap maker and the tooth soaps have the cutest little bows/bowties! We love her bubbly personality and she makes it so easy to want to shop local.

I was looking for a special gift for a friend and walked into this shop very randomly while traveling away from home. We were immediately greeted by the most amazingly relaxing smells and the most kind women! Michelle greeted us and told us about her soap making process and art. She was so incredibly warm and helpful that by the time we left, I felt like we should be exchanging hugs! Her soaps are fragrant, natural, and beautiful! The soaps I purchased were beautifully wrapped and I know my friend is going to be blown away by her gift!

Cannot say enough good things about this charming shop! Visited today during Oswego's Chocolate Walk. From the moment we walked in, made to feel so welcome from the Owner. What a beautiful energy, you can truly tell she loves what she is doing! The soap is equally amazing as well. Loving the Coconut Milk body

My friend Cathy and I visited Ginger Thomas soap company on Saturday May 1 2021 and we were greeted by Michelle the owner with such joy and care. The store is very Tastefully done. It had a Christmas tree in the corner which really touched my heart because I love Christmas and the gentle white lights all around the room in the beautiful flower swags Michelle had decorated with.
The soaps were wonderful full of wonderful smells and beautifully laid out.
Michelle has wonderful stories to tell if you have time to listen . I love the story of her Polka-dotted skirt. Then Michelle had a visit from the tooth fairy one night .
And was given something to make and I said oh my granddaughter just lost 2 teeth last week & she wrapped up what she had and gave one to me for her.
Michelle is a joyful shop owner in downtown Oswego,IL.

Had a very pleasant shopping experience with the owners while we were visiting from Milwaukee to see our family in Oswego. Michelle and Russell were charming and helpful, and we had lots of fun chatting while my husband and I shopped. I came home with a bar of coconut soap and French lavender body butter, and then to my surprise, my sister had gotten me an oatmeal and honey soap and a sugar scrub in the same scent for my birthday! All of these products are high quality and a new & lovely part of my self-care routine.

Anazing selecion of soaps that would be great as gifts! We walked out with 4 bars and a few samples to try. The owner, Michelle was super warm and friendly. We are happy to have supported this local business.

My mom and I enjoyed every minute we spent in this store. It’s beautifully decorated! Also, the owners are friendly, informative, and have a true passion for what they do. I bought body scrub and lotion meant to be gifted but kept it for myself and I have no regrets! Every handmade item contains quality ingredients that make all the difference! One final note—all products are cruelty-free! Cannot recommend this store enough.

LOVE. Highly recommend. Michelle is an absolute doll and the soaps are incredible!! The scents are so nice and they are so pretty. This place is a must stop. The soaps make great gifts as well. We put our stock in this cute jar in the bathroom because they are just too cute.
They make seasonal scents and have bath bombs, scrubs etc.
So happy this place is in Oswego😊

The quality of the product is great! The body butter isn't oily and the soap fragrances aren't overpowering but they do last for good amount of time. Plus, the owner is so friendly and kind! She made it a blast shopping there.

Ms. Michelle was so warm and inviting. Her store is beautifully done and flows so well. I loved that she had cards made to show what ingredients she uses and what her special blended scents would consist of. Please keep buying from local artisans and visit Ms. Michelle. You will definitely be making a new friend.

It makes me smile. It’s a freshness of beautiful scents and all made with love. My kids are so spoiled by the products. I have to bring to Georgia every time I go. The smells are beautiful and it’s last on my body. Michelle and Russell are AMAZING people

I received several items from the Ginger Thomas Soap Company as Christmas gifts. Fragrant French Lavender soap and body cream. So luxurious and a treat to use. I plan to visit in person soon.

I’m not sure what I liked best, the Customer Service, the amazing store atmosphere, or the products themselves! My husband and I stopped by this afternoon just to take a peek and were so glad we did. We will definitely be back soon.
