NEW Photos & Videos in Update: Exceptional Quality and Large Variety of Products, including gourmet cheese, fresh fruits, every type and size of milk, hot and dry cereal, ice cream, coffee (instant, beans and freshly ground) and cakes and pies, by the slice or whole, spices, beer, and salads, plus a long counter with freshly cooked, ready to eat foods, like salmon burgers. Last night I had ribs and vegetables and the best sweet potatoes I've ever tasted. Lets see...other worthwhile info: They are open 24 hours. The employees are all friendly and knowledgeable. The store is on Broadway btwn 98 & 97, MTA 104 bus stop right there, and the 1/2/3 train stops a block away at the 96th street station. Busiest time is mid to late afternoons, but no matter how many people are shopping, they instantly have 10 or 12 registers open, so there's never long slow waits to check out. They are a little bit on the pricey side, but like I said, quality stuff, and you get what you pay for. EBT cards are honored with no drama or judgements (except for hot, fully cooked meals). The clientele/customers are every type of cool New Yorker and there's always nice music playing, so the atmosphere is chill, just like the temperature. 👍🏻 5-stars & thumbs-up. ✌🏼

An incredibly indulgent collection of prepared foods as well as delicious cookies and desserts. Bright, clean and welcoming. Always a pleasure to shop here.

Salad bar FTW! They have everything. Staff is quick quick! Get your stuff and get in line down the beer aisle. It moves quickly!

You can have a nice snack, for not a lot of money.

The cashier Mellie (I hope I am saying her name right) came around and made my salad for me even though it was not her domain. She did not want me to wait. She was so sweet and nice. She smiled throughout the whole process and my salad was just perfect. Thanks boo!

Great store. Everything fresh. Staff extremely helpful, especially JOELLE in the deli. I had just explained I was coming from the hospital after a leg operation. He offered to help me carry all my items to the cashier when I got more than I had planned from other aisles. He always greets with a smile. He's the best. All the staff and cashiers are lovely.

Great local market with a food selection of mid-to-high quality foods. Because of the higher perceived quality, the store's prices tend to run higher than the nearby Key Foods, and are similar to the overpriced Gristedes. The deli is great and if you like very rare roast beef, the store-made is very good. Decent refrigerated craft beer selection. Staff are typically friendly. My main complaint is that the checkout situation leaves much to be desired (notifying customers that a "lane" is open) since the cashiers will only attempt to let you know once and if an inattentive shopper at the front of the line is hard of hearing / didn't notice... the line stagnates until customers inform the person(or cut).

Once you shop here, you will never cook again. All fresh everything fruits and vegetables for the cook it yourself or take it home ready to eat. Great.....try the fresh fruits and vegetables and you'll fall in love with the place.

I LOVE this Store. It's Clean, well stocked, brightly lite and has Great Product Quality. They have a wide selection of Organic, Vegan and Green Products. There's Aways a FAST Checkout. Their Prices Are A Little Higher.
Quality is Worth More to me.
I had a problem ONCE in the Six (6) Years that I've shopped there. I never See Those Workers anymore. I didn't put in a Complaint against them. They just Look out for Their Customers.

Open 24 hours, good selection of most everything you might need...grocery items (local and name brands), fresh fruits/veggies, bakery items, small hot food deli, fresh seafood, specialty cheeses, cleaning supplies...so much crammed in a tiny store. That's a partial definition of New York City itself. Very convenient! Bring your own bags or be charged for each one you need (that's everywhere now). They are sturdy bags though and will get you all the way home with all your items.

As luck would have it in NYC, my bus took a different route do to road work. I usually get off the # 7 or 11 on 96st and Amsterdam; and shop at the Supermarket over there. However, my bus detor up Broadway. So I got off at 96st and "Westside Market NYC caught my eye.

So I ventured in and was pleased by the size, the large selection of products and by the Friendly staff. The Prices are reasonable considering inflation of these days. The food is fresh, and the place is clean and comfortable. It was a good experience for me, as I'm kinda a creature of habit; so I am happy that I was able to try out a new wonderful Market to shop at.

P.S. They also play great music; and the cashier was very friendly and talkative. My kind of place and my kind of People. Stop by, you'll no doubt enjoy the experience for your soul and for your wallet.

The best food markets in town. Are they inexpensive? No. Are they laid out well? Meh. (Take two foods you would normally associate together, such as vinegar and oil, peanut butter and jelly, pasta and gravy; now put them three aisles apart.)
It's still the best.

Excellent food and prices are reasonable.They have a long legacy in the upper west side. They have excellent fresh produce, pasta, Cheeses, and meat dairy products. It better than any market I have experience. The management is kind and has extensive knowledge.They have been serving the community since 1961. And have an excellent variety of foods including package items and quality dishes.

You wouldn't expect much from a city market, but this place has everything! Great mix of popular brands, artisanal varieties, and prepared foods for a quick bite. There's a whole fresh produce section with all kinds of fruit, mushrooms, and cut pieces.

Prices are good too, and you can usually find some deals on reduced items.

Everything is fresh. Everyone working there is friendly & helpful. The variety is impressive. Freshly made deli sandwiches 24/7. LOTS of different kinds of ice cream, sorbet, & gelato. Fresh baked goods. Fresh puddings & custards. Huge variety of gourmet cheeses, alcoholic & non alcoholic beverages, fresh salads. Available: vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, etc.

Open 24 hours. Great veggies selection, both organic and non organic. Well shocked with a dozen varieties of just about anything you could ever want/need or want to discover. Prices are a little bit on the Whole Foods side but the convenience of being open 24 hours makes you not mind it that much.
