Always feel welcome and the owner is very friendly. He remembers his customers. The book selection is immaculate. One of the best used bookstores I've ever been to. Also, the owner will bring his well behaved dogs in from time to time and the customers absolutely love them. I will always use this bookstore for as long as I'm in the area.

Great shop! I purchased for myself and my kids. Helpful and friendly owner. And let’s face it, nowadays that isn’t a given when you’re shopping.

I don’t know a lot about used books beyond what I’ve bought at Goodwill, but to me the books seemed well priced. Also- lots and lots of books 🙌🏻 but well organized.

You can browse without being disturbed or ask for help to find what you need. I hope to come back many more times and will spread the word about this gem of a shop in downtown Grand Haven🙂

This is the quintessential local book shop. The owner is incredibly kind, the selection of books was great. Lots of variety, all in great condition, and good pricing. If you’re like me and love to check out bookstores in every town you visit you can’t miss this one!

Boyfriend and I splurged and bought soooo many books. The employee that helped us was on point. He knew exactly where to go for every request we had. Showed us where our favorite authors books were and also helped recommend some new ones that he already read. They're very organized. Clean. Definitely helpful and also have great prices and a very large selection of books to choose from. I definitely recommend this book store and also we plan on returning in the near future and Aldo plan on bringing his mom as she too is an avid book fan!

I have been to my fair share of used book stores and am a habitual online book thrifter. This has to be the best used book store I’ve ever had the pleasure of wandering, bar none. Staff is welcoming and helpful, the shelves are well organized, and their prices are so good I had to restrain myself from buying more books than I could fit in my luggage. What a gem!

This is one of my favorite used bookstores I have ever been too. The owner is probably the friendliest man to walk this earth. The book selection is always vast and you are always able to find a handful of things to take home. Also, the pups are so sweet and chill. Highly recommend you add this store to your bookstore visit schedule!

This place is packed full of books and they are very affordable. Mike was very nice and thoughtful with book recommendations. And Cujo was so cute!!

Another year around the sun passes. Each June for vacation, I eagerly await to visit and palaver with Mike, who’s Stephen King knowledge and fandom is unmatchable. I’ve spun off on too many adventures with so many great authors due to his awesome recommendations. Not only that, but his collection of signed and first editions from all popular fiction writers is out of this world! There’s nothing more I look forward to in Michigan than spending several days at the Book Cellar collecting the rarest books I love. Till’ next year sir!

One of the best bookstores I've had the pleasure to visit. If you're in the Grand Haven area, there's none better.

The owner is a very friendly knowledgeable person. Has two wonderful dogs that love petting! If you haven't been here yet, you need to! You won't be disappointed. So many books to choose from. I never walk out without at least 5 or 6 books! Check it out!

They've got an extensive collection of dorky old fantasy novels which were an absolute joy to browse through. Ended up getting some used horror novels in good condition at incredibly cheap prices. Super cute place!

As a history teacher, I have always found it important to find a good used book shop. The Book Cellar has been wonderful, not just for their ever changing selection of nonfiction titles, but also for their generosity. When I purchase books for my classroom, Mike has often given me a much appreciated discount. This teacher's budget is small, but it goes a long way at this shop! It's always cool when local businesses so readily support the schools/kids of our community!

My family and I were visiting Grand Haven for a weekend away. We came across Mike's store and he welcomed us in with a friendly smile. He was great with my children and engaged their interests. The store has a wide selection of books of all genres, and is definitely worth a stop in if you are in the area. Tank and Brady are a fun bonus treat as well! This is a gem of a store. We will definitely be back!
