Fantastic local bookstore! They have a great variety of books, as well as some very nice puzzles and other gift items. A wonderful spot to lose track of time browsing through all the stacks!
Note: the first picture on the Google listing shows a different bookstore. Someone should take that down. This shop is right next to the excellent Morning star Cafe.

What a fantastic bookstore! The booksellers are very warm and knowledgeable, the selection is superb with classics, new books and everything in between. I am a bookstore connoisseur and I loved this gem.

I love the Bookman!
They are particularly dialed into the needs, wants, and desires of the local area. Their staff picks of books to read, are awesome.
Their used book area is in constant flux during the summer. Bargains to be had there.
They have excellent gifts that are not books, as well!

Well maintained, cozy bookshop in downtown Grand Haven. It’s well organized, and the book selection & suggestions are great. Plenty of cute gifts and the children’s section is adorable with classic books & toys. Service was friendly and they even had a little area for self-serve coffee while you browse. Must visit!

The Bookman is great. They typically always have the newest and best sellers available. They also have various book clubs throughout the year, children’s programming and more. Cute, local store that I love to support!

The best bookstore along the Lakeshore. This is the only place I buy my books. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They carry hardcover best sellers. There is an excellent selection of fiction & nonfiction. One favorite section is the "staff review" usually soft cover books always a good choice. You can find magazines too. They carry a unique selection of cards for a special gift.

They have a great selection of used and new books! They also have a section dedicated to Michigan authors, which is a great way to discover local creatives. Their children's section has a great selection for all ages and has cute decor. I really love the local book store feel. They also have a small stage which is probably used for open mics.

A hidden gem. If you love books you should check out this cozy little bookstore. I'm glad I did, even if they don't have what you are looking for the staff is very kind and always willing to help such as placing orders. The free chocolate chip cookies and tea/coffee is a nice touch as well.

Small bookstore. Very quaint, but has a lot of unique things to West Michigan. Prices are equal to or lower than the major chains. Great place.

Fantastic staff, quite respectable selection (especially for the small size) and they can order what you want if they dont haveit. When their usual sources didnt have the obscure book i wanted they ordered from another local store in the state.

Between this place and the used book store around the corner, Grand Haven is a mecca for great book stores. Both shops were awesome.

The Bookman is a great local business. Friendly service and my 8,5 and 3 year old truly enjoy going and picking out a book each and head to the beach to read them.

Visited during wine about Winter a few months ago. Brought back so many memories of my childhood in gh. The bookman is classic and a staple in GH. Great selection and staff.
