“SMAK”

Amazing place I discovered recently. It's one of the only places around to get foods from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and other Eastern European/Baltic nations. All the staff I've experienced have been friendly, polite, and very willing to help. I will be frequently shopping here from now on. I respect the owner for being closed on Sundays, and I wish them the best with any sanctions they may currently be affected by.

Great place to get Ukraine and Russian delicacies and food. Great people working there too! Had to send pictures to my Ukraine friend that is excited to go there.

Amazing store, the best Eastern European store! I have ordered many bakery, deli and other foods, I bought a mangal, every time I’m satisfied. The store is very neat and clean, the staff are always welcoming. Very authentic selection of any kind of food.

Not only do they sell great authentic European food and grocery, they have a great selection of toys and skincare, and thing for your health and well being.
Highly recommend to stop by see for yourself and perhaps it will become a routine shop!

This is a wonderful European grocery store. This was my first visit, and I will definitely be back. The staff was very helpful and patient. All the sausages, cakes and bread we bought were delicious.

Very cozy store and the staff is nice and helpful. The store has a wide variety of different things from many European countries. Absolutely love it!

Extremely nice staff and owners with very wide variety of goods from all over the world. Only place we were able to find a quality large outdoors cooking pot/cauldron with lid and hearth as well as portable barbecue grille which are now being used almost weekly by a community of 30-50 people. I would definitely recommend this business and will shop at this location myself again in the future!!!

This is my home away from home. I love the great selection of Ukranian/ Russian foods the store has to offer along with some items from other countries. The bakery deserves a separate vote! Amazing goodies. The only thing is sometimes I noticed some items are past their expiration/ best before dates. And for non perishable things it's ok, but then they should be sold at a discounted price, in my opinion. Thank you! :)

I go to Smak because of the convenient location it is with respect to my home. As well as the good quality grocery products it offers . Ranging from sausages, fish, cooking essentials, milk products , European mayo, kvus and more. I also like how friendly the cashiers are . They’re always attentive and polite . Check it out for yourself!

I m glad that this place exist in Anoka and it brings a lot of nostalgia to my heritage! They have a great selection of pretty much everything from kvas to bakery! I love their napoleon and honey cakes,always fresh,very tasty, like in childhood! They also have great selection of spices that you can’t find in any American store. Deli section is outstanding! Every time, I buy something from Smak, my American husband is always asking for Russian treats!

The staff here are always very friendly and service-oriented and are willing to help non-Eastern European customers with item selection. Their fresh bakery's products advertise themselves in the case. They have an outstanding selection of tea and preserved meat and fish options. There are some stock issues out of the store's control at present writing (5/2023) with the store unable to import certain comfort brands due to current events in Eastern Europe, but the staff try their best and are willing to give recommendations on brands to try if the brands one is loyal to cannot be sourced at present. Pricing is reasonable within current events (inflation and the conflict).

I LOVE MY STORE SMAK!!!! All the workers are very nice!!! The food is definitely good quality!!! Will always come back to get all the goodies, because I am originally from Europe and still and always will LOVE European food!!!!

I love this store. Everyone is so kind and helpful. I don't speak or read Russian and they are patient with me. They have everything you need and more. Their baked good are absolutely wonderful. I am so glad that they are here in Anoka.
