Love all Safeways, they are expensive but if you want a true 1980's grocery store experience go here. Although most are in the hood.

Go have pork chop sandwich for under $3.
I get one when I am on that side of town.
Also pork tenderloins on request.

Nice neighborhood grocery store. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was very clean and well stocked. Prices on most items was pretty reasonable. I love that they carry many items not generally available at the major stores. Produce section could, and should, be much larger, but at least it had a decent selection. Cashier was super nice. I've only been to Safeway stores on the West coast, and although they are nice stores, they are NOTORIOUS for understaffing the cashiers! Imagine a Kroger or Meijer with only one cashier open. At rush hour. Lunacy. This store was not very busy, and I got through quickly. All in all a nice experience.

Nice neighborhood store that's been open on Kessler. The employees were greeting the customers by name. Everything looked nice clean and fresh. I was there to pick up a pan of fresh fried chicken from their deli the chicken was seasoned well and hot. On the drive home I had to pull over and grab a piece of chicken cause it smelled so good and it was !!

This Preston Safeway is one of the most organized well kept neighborhood stores I've seen in a long time. But this Preston Safeway has always been this way. That's why I enjoy shopping there. They have everything you need and more. Great place to shop.😃😃😃

ICYMI: Safeway fried chicken is LEGIT! Thank you Eddie and Miss Mary for having my hot delicious order ready Saturday morning on my way to the Speedway. Everybody kept asking where I got it and could hardly believe it when I told them. Deliciously seasoned, just be sure to pick up a bottle of hot sauce before you leave the store 😉

Update.. I've noticed and am very pleased with the upkeep of the store at 30th and Kessler. I think it's been maybe a year now.. my Lord the store is cleaner.. ☺the meat cases are free of those juices in the bottom of the meat displays,☺.. the shelves are neat and faced whenever I come in☺.. the produce section is alot more appetizing, it's a new day in there👍👍

I love this store, for their deli department, the food is always delicious. And Ed, and Ms. Mary are a delight to see and talk too. I've been going there for over 6 years and they both are still there even after the pandemic, when I'm sure they couldn't work at the onset of the pandemic.
This store is very well cleaned and stocked, unlike the same store at 16th/Emerson. It is worth my drive of 15 miles away when I want good fried chicken.

I'm so proud of our neighborhood grocery store. You can definitely see the changes in management so hats off to everyone they are on the team. The customer service was a little blah today but I know that's not the usual. For the most part I can definitely see the cleanliness of the store has improved tremendously! The produce look beautiful and fresh. Of course the prices are high but that's what you expect from a convenience store. Great job everyone!

Took my grandmother to pick up a few things. The staff were so polite and respectful to her! I'm so appreciative that some people understand what respect is to an elder or senior citizen!

They don't have the variety that some huge big box stores have, but I avoid those places as much as possible and come here. Employees are nice and this grocery store has a chill factor compared to Walmart or Kroger.

Employees are honest didn't try to sell me a new tire when all I needed was a little air

Still standing! Hats off to these guys for providing fresh produce and grocery needs for the community. Without them this neighborhood would be amidst a food desert. Staff is always friendly and greet you by name, as many have been here for years.

This is the only place I can find Faygo pop in Black Cherry. They have good Soul food cooking in the back. We couldn't get any pieces of fried chicken because people had ordered large quanities and we would have had to wait an hour before we could get a piece or two. DANG! That chicken MUST be good.

They have great meat at resonable prices. And very clean store.
